Description of 🌑️ RockSeed Infrared Thermometer - Non-Contact Digital Laser Temperature Gun with Color Display for Kitchen Cooking and Industrial - Adjustable Emissivity -58℉ to 1022℉ (-50℃ to 550℃) - Non Body Thermometer

β˜… Note β˜… This digital thermometer is not designed for taking human body temperature. Infrared thermometers can't measure the internal temperature of a human or object and are only able to read external surface or skin temperatures. The measured temperature for humans will not be correct. β˜… Advanced Technology & Higher Precision β˜… Equipped with the latest thermopile sensor technology, the infrared laser temperature gun has a high reading accuracy of Β±1.5% in 0.5 seconds. The distance to spot ratio is 12:1, which means you can measure the target over a longer distance.According to the different surface materials to be measured, the accuracy of the temperature measuring gun can be improved by adjusting the emissivity between 0.1 and 1.0. β˜… Instant Targeting and Wide-Range Measurement β˜… The measured surface temperature ranges from -58 Β° F to 1022 Β° F (-50 Β° C to 550 Β° C) and is switchable to unit Β° F / Β° C.Without any contact, the infrared thermometer reads data immediately within 500Ms.Note: To achieve optimal accuracy, the distance between the thermometer and the object to be measured should be approximately 14.17 inches (36 centimeters). β˜… Multi-function & Humanized Design β˜… Equipped with a bright LCD backlight screen, so that data reading is clearer and more convenient. Automatic shutdown and low power display extend battery life and make it more durable. Built-in accurate aiming red laser can accurately find the measurement target. β˜… Wide Application & Versatile Design β˜… The infrared technology makes this thermometer easy to measure the surface temperature of various objects, especially temperatures above boiling points and below freezing points. You can use it when you are cooking and barbequing, performing auto maintenance, doing home repairs and a host of other tasks and so on.

Great for soap making

I make soap and this thermometer makes my life so much easier because I can take oil and suds temperatures without using an immersion thermometer

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • So far so good

Ideal for infrared thermometer

We use this to get the right temperature on the grill or pizza stone. That works great. Point and press to get the temperature. It's easy to use and accurate. Happy with it.

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • Periodicity

Easy to use for testing, measuring and checking

Easy to use and accurate as far as I can tell. My dishwater was measured at 133 degrees, which seems accurate to me. Still waiting for the second half to try it out in auto, which is why I ordered it.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Some bugs

Easy to use for cooking and checking RC car temperature

This infrared thermometer is good and practical for checking the temperature of food while cooking, as well as checking things like battery temperature of RC car, as they may get high after long time use. It uses regular AA batteries.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Not sure

I get a fever from this thermometer

Very handy and useful instrument. Setup is easy and the display is perfect and easy to read. This seems very accurate (as far as I can tell). It's comfortable to hold and the auto-on feature is great in case you forget to turn it off. This saves battery power.

Pros
  • Industrial and scientific
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Very accurate for temperatures from 60 to 100 degrees

I've tested this thing quite a few times with known temperatures (using a standard thermometer as a reference) and it's pretty close. Near room temperature, this agrees with standard thermometers to within about 1 degree. I have not tried it for very hot dishes. I doubt this is a good option for cooking meat, for example, as you only get the surface temperature. For any purpose where you need to measure a hotspot, e.g. B. something that is 10 degrees Fahrenheit or more out of range, it should…

Pros
  • Test, measure and inspect
Cons

Compared to several older IR thermometers

Summary: I bought two infrared (IR) thermometers a while ago (2016 and 2017) so I will compare this ROCKSEED to them. I use IR thermometers for general temperature measurements and more recently for charging solar/photovoltaic arrays, specifically measuring the temperature of the batteries while charging. One annoyance with the ETEKCITY (2017 onwards) is that it has a blue backlight but is very difficult to photograph, which PEAKMETER has no problem with. Another feature of IPros: good fit and…

Pros
  • IR thermometer
Cons
  • Not as thick as other models
