I use them to record podcasts. I know most people choose dynamic mics for situations like this, but I like pistol mics a lot better. They capture all the qualities of our voice perfectly. They're very directional and background noise isn't much of an issue (I should note I'm using them in an acoustically treated room so echoes don't bounce off walls).
