Works well. Just use a hand drill. I seem to understand the conflicting reviews. I used this on a laminate door with chipboard inside. The bit tended to get clogged with thin wood shavings that I had to constantly clean. I moved the drill back and then forward again, and the drill. I don't blame the bat, I blame the cheap wood.
