Worked great - good price

I had to install Blum concealed hinges so I needed this size for the holes. It worked great. The holes were smooth and easy to use. I saw several reviews complaining that the holes were rough or wandered around a bit. I didn't have the problem at all. I drilled holes in the maple cabinet doors and the holes were perfect. Even if you punch a small starting hole with an awl or nail to insert the bit's tip, it stays straight and doesn't move. I don't have a drill press so I used a hand drill and…

Perfect for Blum cabinet hinges

Just had to drill some pockets for the hinges instead of using the pocket cutters I had (expecting a rough cut) this drill bit fitted perfectly. The depth of cut is easy to measure as the height of the drill is designed to sit flush when you have reached the desired depth. No need to measure. The pilot in the middle is short, you don't have to worry about piercing the other side. When cutting melamine with a hand drill the secret is to start slowly with light pressure and let the cutter go…

Solidly built. Works well but clogs when used on chipboard

Works well. Just use a hand drill. I seem to understand the conflicting reviews. I used this on a laminate door with chipboard inside. The bit tended to get clogged with thin wood shavings that I had to constantly clean. I moved the drill back and then forward again, and the drill. I don't blame the bat, I blame the cheap wood. I assume those who complained about the dullness of the hit used it on the chipboard. Those who said it was sharp used it on hardwood. I only had to drill two holes so…
