Sharp nice bokeh and contrast

Cons: I want an AF 24 and 50mm with the same specs now but they are not ready yet. Pros: Not far from my old Canon 1.2 with 5D2. except for Nikon and my D800 :-) I can shoot by candlelight, the autofocus is accurate and lag-free (comparatively) to the old D800. The bokeh is creamy and blends beautifully. great, if slightly plastic, feel (well, that's plasticity). Overall a great purchase for me.

If Bokeh Tasted Like Ice Cream

This review is based on 15 years of photography and prime lens photography from a Nikon perspective. I shoot with a Nikon D800. I also shot with Nikon 85mm 1.8 and 1.4. I received this lens on April 1st, 2021 and have been shooting with this Rokinon lens for about 2-3 days under studio lighting and available light. Judging from the photos that accompany the Rokinon 85mm 1.4 this lens is worth the money at this price. Very creamy or ice cream bokeh =) I'll list a few cons, but hey, this is…

Sweet baby Jesus in DSLR lenses

Well, I've been looking for the 85mm f1.4 lens for my D810 for a long time. The obvious choice would be the Nikkor version, but the GAHD DAM costs $1500! Who has so much money to burn? Unfortunately, I'm not that blessed. So I settled on a Sigma Art lens as I already have a 35mm and a 50mm, but it's still around $1200! Yes, I may have picked the wrong hobby, but we're not here to judge, are we? So this is where this Rokinon/Samyang comes to the rescue. At less than half the price of the Sigma…
