Well I'm surprised how strong they cut this out of what looks like thick cork wood so the pieces aren't really brittle, everything is cut to pop right out of the cut so you don't have to worry about parts breaking when you take them out, I'll update when I get it together how well it works, but so far these are top quality products.

The instructions for this were surprisingly easy, the puzzle/music box itself is beautiful, the music is great, it just doesn't spin like it should. We just assembled our second box which was a music box and neither of them will spin after it's fully assembled. Wonderful toy made and assembled as a gift from my wife for our anniversary. The instructions are not 100% clear in some places. Therefore, compare the product with the picture of the assembled product to make sure you place the parts correctly. The end result is smaller than I expected and doesn't really represent our solar system, but it's an interesting toy. It requires some familiarity with this type of kit, so this shouldn't be the first project of this kind.

This isn't the first product of this type I've built, so I don't consider myself a newbie. The friction fit on this model's parts is so tight that it takes a lot of force to install them, resulting in quite a bit of slippage. However, since it is made of wood, it can break at the slightest slip. I'm used to a failure or two on models of this type, which are usually repairable. Before assembling, I read several reviews about this musical puzzle. I'm VERY glad I did! Someone posted a picture of themselves fully assembled that they painted before assembling. I liked how it looked compared to the light colored unpainted wood and decided to go that route. The instructions are VERY easy to read and interpret, and there are limitations to the steps involved. I've made about 20 of these wooden puzzles and this is by far the most frustrating of them all. There were several problems: 1. The quality of the wood was poor and many pieces flaked off when removed from the panel. I had to use many CAs to fix them. 2 The fit was poor and each of the small steel spacers broke when removed and/or installed. 3.
