Works great but no IR for volume control on Sonos Playbar

Works great with my TCL Series 6 TV but wasn't aware my Sonos Playbar doesn't have IR for volume control. So unfortunately I'm coming back because I want a remote control that controls my TV and the volume on the soundbar. Let's go back to the old standard IR remote without voice control.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Most importantly, you can't use this to search for things outside of Roku. For example, when you try to find a movie on Netflix and go to the search function, the voice button doesn't work, which is the main reason people update in the first place. Don't look for the Roku platform every time. Bad programming and needs updating.

Pros
  • Excellent design

Disappointed with remote controls

What I received was not what was advertised. At first it didn't look like the picture, but I realize that "actual product may vary" or something. It also ended up in a plastic bag. No original Roku box and no instructions. I have a few questions about the device itself. I chose this one because it advertised voice control. It didn't have that function. He advertised a pairing button under the battery cover, but there wasn't one. All in all I am disappointed and will be back.

  • practical item

Great upgrade from the Roku remote

Purchased to replace my TCL Roku TV remote. I love that this voice remote has also been improved so there is no need for a clear path between the remote and the TV. The mute button is also positive. Installation was a breeze. The remote control is immediately connected to the TV after inserting the batteries. Mine came with the following streaming channel buttons: Netflix, Hulu, Sling, and ESPN+. Will be buying another to replace my old Roku remote that doesn't have a mute button. FYI, this…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Can't remember

No headphone jack if that matters, the cryptic DOWN buttons are gone but everything else is there and works great. It took a few minutes to set up, and then I decided to get a remote control! I paired it with a new Vizio and the on/off and mute was automatic. I think every new TV will be pretty much the same. I bought this to get a mute button which was worth it. UPDATE: When I first got this I didn't think I would use this feature that much, but this is a game changer! Whether you're searching

Pros
  • Good performance
Cons
  • Some minor issues

No more remote finder!

I only bought this remote to replace my original Ultra remote because my son soaked it in water. It (my ultra remote) still works, but it's weird because when you press a button, the volume either increases or decreases. I don't want to change it, but the volume button doesn't work anymore. This one works like an Ultra, but not quite. As with the other review, I liked the bulky feel and heaviness of the original. Gone is the headphone jack, which comes in very handy, especially when I go home…

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Hard to tell

This official Roku remote works just like the one that came with your device. It has TV controls (power, volume up/down and mute). It doesn't have wireless audio (where you can plug your headphones into the remote). It has a "voice control" which, to be honest, I personally never get satisfactory results with. This remote uses RF mode (instead of infrared) to control Roku, so you don't need to point the remote at your device if your device supports RF remotes. The only thing I'd like to point…

Pros
  • . Control your Roku media player with the Roku Voice Remote: The easy-to-use Roku Voice Remote with TV Control is perfect for replacing or upgrading the remote control for your Roku TV. , Roku Player or Roku Smart Soundbar
Cons
  • Dear

I'm a *big* Roku user (owned by N1, two models of a second gen, currently with 3, 4 and TCL Roku TV between the two houses). For my TCL TV I used a Wi-Fi remote control and an IR remote control. There's no power button on the Wi-Fi remote and this TV works terribly via IR, often missing clicks when aiming directly at fresh batteries (not sure if it's a remote or receiver). This should replace this (with the loss of the headphone jack to boot). Just plugged in and worked for a couple of days…

Pros
  • Shortcut Buttons: Four preset channel shortcut buttons let you quickly switch to popular streaming channels with a thumb press
Cons
  • Not as bold as other picks
