Brake hoses first time

I chose this brake hose because my mechanic friend recommended it. A flexible brake line that should resist corrosion better than steel. This was my first time installing brake lines and it couldn't be easier. I watched a lot of YouTube and read information from my buddy before trying it. The material stretches easily and can be hand bent to fit all but the tightest of curves. I didn't even forget to put on a fitting before flaring! Beginners are lucky.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Expensive

Great product at a reasonable price

I have been making my own brake lines for 20 years and this brake line is forever the best. Will never rust and is more durable than inferior material. I ended up with a 25 foot spool of a different material (which may soon be subject to a 25 percent tariff) and a new 25 foot spool of that material. I weighed both rolls and this material was almost 30 percent heavier. Both have the same outside diameter so you can see the difference in wall thickness. I will only buy this from now on.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Trade in available

Get stainless fittings as well.

I will be using this to replace rusted brake lines on a 1997 Ford Ranger. I also went for stainless steel hardware and they look great together. Still trying to find a source for stainless steel hard brake armor. It looks like a long spring and protects the tube from damage. Corrosion is a big issue as the truck sometimes drives through salt water so I need all stainless steel. This material is of high quality and easy to bend, delivered quickly, well packaged and installed.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some little things

Does the job without drama!

High quality tubing to replace the original rusty webbing. This copper nickel brake line tube is actually an improvement over the original steel brake lines as it will not rust in the traditional sense and is VERY easy to bend to form the correct reverse double flares. It comes carefully packaged with lids on both ends and a small desiccant bag to absorb any moisture in the plastic film. Looks very neat, professional and durable under the car instead of rusty lines and the Psi value is very…

Old and new cars should try

First time using copper nickel tubing, first time bending the tubing with a tube bender and it was easy. would be a hell of a chore but i had no problems with this hose. All bent, installed and tested in one day, solved this problem for the first time! Luckily some things get better with time and this hose hasn't given me any of the problems my dad used to worry about (bends easily, difficult to make tight bends). , trouble making straight cuts, difficulty making quality inverted petals for…

rusty brake lines? it is impossible.

You know those old It's So Simple, A Cavman Can Do it commercials? I feel like it deserves one of them. I've never made brake hoses myself. Hell, up until a week ago I didn't know that (a) you could make your own brake lines or (b) brake lines could rust. I've been fixing cars for more years than the internet was anything and I've never come across brake lines rusted inside or outside in. However, I've also never worked on a good old truck. Judging by the internet (which is true now), brake…
