Good knife for the price but not RossHenry quality. The black embossed logo on knife blades rubs off product leaving behind black marks/streaks that are visually distracting. Don't hold her edge as long as you should.

Good knives but very sharp good stuff. The bad news is they cut the velcro that holds it in place. Therefore, when you receive it from the seller, the top of the velcro is cut off. Thankfully, the handle stays in place, so you can probably do without the body strips. The knives themselves are very good.

Knives arrived as promised and as others have said several velcro straps were cut from the blades. The knives had a good sharpness in the beginning, but this quickly deteriorated. Blades should be professionally sharpened to get good readings and determine if the blade is holding a sharp edge. For the price, this is a good set for the home cook or those just starting out in the industry.

the set looks great and feels good in the hand. Unfortunately, some knives are very blunt. The chef's knife and bread knife were sharp enough, but the carving knife, fillet knife, and cleaver were so dull that they had to be professionally sharpened before they were useful. A loin and steam knife could not cut through an orange without damaging the peel. I had to press too hard to cut. Sharp as a butter knife.

I'm a cooking student and while these knives are good value they work as well if not better than the expensive Mercer set. These knives are designed for chefs who prefer a little more weight for their blade handles. They sharpen very well and I will always recommend this brand to more expensive brands due to their all metal construction. These are by far the most durable chef's knives I've ever used.

All knives arrived nicely wrapped and protected but there were already rust spots. Only 5 rusty spots, didn't care because yes they were small but I could understand why, these knives had probably been lying around for a very long time. It was dusty inside. I just wanted them to do something about it because these knives weren't cheap. I would definitely give 5 stars for the knives themselves, but I think their storage/inventory should be taken care of by the owner.

I bought this set primarily to work in a professional kitchen. What I liked most about the set was the case as I'm not a fan of reel sets. The knives were fine, but my paring knife was lightly chipped and the weight in the handle was loose so it rattled when shaken. The stainless steel was of poor quality and had ridges that collected dirt and were difficult to clean completely. I'm returning the set for the reasons above and also because I don't need most of the parts in the set. Bottom line…

The most attractive feature of this knife set is that it is made of carbon steel PLUS stainless steel. This gives the metal the advantage of staying sharp longer while looking good. This set is really pretty and glittery, but its beauty can be deceiving. The balance on each knife is perfect. The included fairly large cleaver is also well balanced and looks great. In fact, this is the first cleaver I've used that many times. Very good. In fact, the whole set looks great and works as expected…
