Description of πŸ”§ Rough Country Stainless Brake Lines for Jeep Wrangler JK (07-18) | 4-6" Lift | 89708

DOT approved brake line kits offer the necessary extra length to install your application, perfect for anyone who wants to swap out poor performing or decaying factory brake lines. Stainless Steel replacements offer superior protection and a seriously long lifespan. Braided stainless steel exterior keeps your lines free from off-road debris, rocks, and mud that can penetrate factory rubber lines. Durable outer layer prevents expansion of the internal Teflon layer. High Quality hollow fasteners at both ends of each brake line and S at both ends provide a leak-free flow path. Backed by Rough Country's Lifetime Replacement.

Decent set of brake lines

These brake lines fit my 08 JKU perfectly and installation was a breeze. They replaced the rubbers which my dealer punched a hole in and tried to patch with tape.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Modern

Great quality if they last

Hose mount meets stabilizer bar. I had to repeat it to make it clearer. The hoses buckle when braking. It has a thousand miles in total. I'll think about it later

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • So far so good

Fits XJ with Teraflex disc brake rebuild

The Teraflex kit includes new rubber brake hoses but with my large Deaver Leaf packages I needed a longer SS hose. They were a little longer than I preferred but worked great.

Pros
  • Heavy duty
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model

ROCK. A MUST if you're going off-road at all

Our Jeep has a 4" lift and 35" tires. We'll definitely take it off-road and get some axle articulation. I noticed that I could never get a stuck brake pedal. It doesn't matter how much blood. It's decided! The brakes are solid now and I can take a full turn and my brake lines will sag. THANK YOU ROUGH COUNTRY

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Clarity

Good quality replacement parts

I installed these in place of the cheap extensions that came with my new lift kit. It was definitely the best choice. They appeared to be of good quality and came complete with new copper washers. You have a lot of free space with my 3.5 inch lifter. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again. I've had more expensive reinforced brake hoses in the past and they seem to be just as good.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • No instructions

RC 89708 Rear Brake Line

After a stiff driver's side brake line broke due to an anti-roll bar end connector pin hitting the line, I had to buy it and get rid of the brake line. drop bracket. I should have installed them in the beginning! Sitting at the 2.5" lift, the tail easily fills up and lowers all the way down. Ideal length for this lift, but can get a little tight on higher lifts.

Pros
  • Stable Test Results
Cons
  • Some Cons

Not too short for a 4 " rise!

What you read in other comments is correct. Although only an inch longer than standard, they do not contain carbide tubing. The shock pipes have two sections of rigid Metal tubing which limits their flexibility. Installing them eliminates those harsh lines even if they are a little longer. This gives more flexibility in terms of the extra stroke required to lift. Don't be afraid to depend on them of their length. Super easy install and nice update. I am also planning to replace the rear ones…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • So-so
