Well I don't like it but my 14 week old kittens do

Well I don't like it but my 14 week old kittens do. They ate Royal Canin small cat food, but our vet (my stepdaughter) recommended this food after spaying and neutering. The female prefers this to everything else (she tends to dig into wet food) and the cat loves it too, although he's a Chow Hound and will eat pretty much anything he doesn't try to eat first.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not automatic

Great drying product

All my kittens have been fed a variety of Royal Canin pellets for over 15 years, with changes based on age and dietary needs. This is perfect for the 4 spayed/neutered babies we have and was a nightmare to find this strain in stores - they have a regular, higher calorie option that is not suitable for indoor kittens in hospital. Switched both pairs from other products; they all prefer it - I've found that out from all their food with all my cats.

Questionable Ingredients

Vets and people on the internet seem to have no problem recommending Royal Canin but the first three ingredients seem like rubbish to me (chicken by-product, rice and corn) and my kitty is very itchy eating this one Things. After a while he stopped eating everything together. I have a hard time rating it because I don't eat food and based on the ingredients and what happened I have to rate it low. The costs are also very high compared to the competition. I can easily get a 5 pound bag of Taste…

Don't feed it to your kittens.

A week and a half I had two wonderful kittens. The first few days I only grew cat food. So I figured I'd buy a special kitten food I found at Revain, Royal Canin. Royal Canin was the food I was asked by the vet to buy for my old sick cat who has now passed away. I thought it was good food. And since they are kittens, they still need kitten food. But now my youngest kitten, the smallest, vomits a lot. I don't know yet what I'll do with the rest of the stuff. Throw it away? Should I even try to…

Featured! to dry

We raise kittens and being an experienced newborn bottle feeder we usually end up with abandoned or orphaned babies that require a lot of time and attention. The shelter recommended this dry kitten food or Science Diet along with Royal Canin wet cat food for mothers and babies. They seem to love it and we have to be careful when one of our adopted "losers" wants kibble! She thinks she's just a kitten! Definitely recommend! Yes, each photo is a kitten we rescued. Big! But these price changes are not

The product itself is great. Virtually odorless, great healthy food for my kitty! Easily digestible judging by the looks. Even the droppings are virtually odorless, which is impressive. But the biggest problem with this is pretty obvious. price and size. £2.5 pathetic for over $30 (as of 11/30/15) I bought it from the same seller for ($22) only to have the price swing from 20 to 30 to 25 and back to 30 without prime. Shipping now for download. You'd better go to your local pet store and buy one

Slow down unhealthy weight gain

We have adopted 2 feral kittens who were recently rescued around 3 months old. They had just been neutered but were a bit emaciated. We started with a different food recommended by local cat shelters. One cat quickly gained weight fearing this food might be her last. We have just lost our 17 year old cat who was treated by Royal Canin Urinary SO for urinary problems. Since a vet told me that he keeps his cats on this diet, I started feeding them this food. They preferred Rroyal Canin so I…
