Description of RPT 2K Walkie Talkie Repeater Baofeng

No power supply needed, plug and play. This relay box is an audio trigger mode. When using it, the volume of the intercom as a receiving signal should be adjusted to the maximum! Single/two-way relay box frequency setting prompt. There is no need to change any part of the original walkie-talkie, just take two handheld walkie-talkies. Do not reverse the jack of the one-way relay box during use, otherwise the relay box will not work. Use two hand-held walkie-talkie headset jacks to form a very practical small repeater through this relay box. Intelligent operation, easy to use. Two-way relay box plug does not divide input/output, two-way relay box forwarding mode: A machine receives B transmission, B machine receives A transmission. Lightweight and compact, easy to carry.

Do not buy. It's used and not working

I bought this because I wanted to make a little header for my farm. They arrived today, but unfortunately there were traces of glue on them! Luckily for me, Revain refunded the full amount. I'm sure I won't buy this again, will try to look at other options.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Socket required

Simple and inexpensive!

I wanted to try this as a learning exercise. It didn't work at first, so I went back and read the notes that said the baofeng's volume knob should be turned all the way down. When I did that, everything worked wonderfully. Haven't tried the range yet but plan to. I used two BF-F8HPs.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Nothing here

Appears to be miswired.

The receiving end is actually the transmitting end and will not transmit until you release the PTT button on the portable device. I've struggled with this thing multiple times and still can't get it to work. I am now past the return date and am stuck with another piece of electronics. Maybe I can use cable ends? Look for alternatives.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Unsafe

Works, but not very well.

Tried with Baofeng UV-5R and Retevis RT22. This worked with both, but not very useful. If you click, the transfer will not start. It doesn't start transmitting until it hears sound, and there's a delay after you start speaking. If you speak too softly, the signal breaks down. So if you don't want to speak very loudly and always miss the first few words, this is a useless product. The sound through the RT22 was reproduced much better than the Baofeng, but the delay was the same.

Pros
  • Quality build
Cons
  • Negative impression

Garbage. It's literally garbage

First of all, I'm a network communications engineer. I am also in charge of the technical department. . Third, I'm a radio amateur. It's garbage, stay away from it. Even with volume up or even offsets, it passed every test I threw at it. And I was trying to tune the Vox and trying different combinations of everything I could. This product didn't work crap. Sometimes it would come up and stay on. Other times it didn't work at all. I installed the device in my shed about 120 meters away from me…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...
