Best ice tray for specialty tools and equipment

When I read about Rubbermaid - Ice Tray 16 Cube Tray I thought the ease of use was overkill. Well, let me tell you it's not. My daughter and husband, who have always struggled with old ice cube trays, are still thrilled with my decision to replace our old ones. I rarely use ice, but I get what they were talking about when I took the cube out of the tray. It slides out quite easily, no hassle. The only downside I have is that I don't really need 3 trays; However, the convenience of simplicity is

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Not the best

Really simple - kitchen and dining room

I feel stupid using silicone ice trays for years. I think that's because I remembered plastic ice cube trays from my childhood as being tough things that had to be hooked and twisted. These are way better than these. As long as you don't overfill it, you can press the cube and it will slide out from behind the curved shape of the cups. I use a lot of ice for tea, and something as simple as these trays makes life that little bit easier. I don't even have to run it under water to solve itโ€ฆ

Works great, doesn't break right away, easy to install and use

We recently moved into a new house and the air conditioning is terrible. So let's make lots of ice cream! We've tried silicone ice cube trays, fancy trays with silicone bases, unusual shapes, and the whole gamut. I remembered as a kid we had standard ice buckets, exactly the same, lots of fiddling. After using it for a few weeks, I'm happy to report that no one else has to try to reinvent the ice tray. These work great. Will it crack/break after a year or so? Probably. But they're not expensive

Very Good Quality Ice Cube Trays

You wouldn't think ice cube trays are very important, but when your ice maker stops working and you're offered $$$$ to fix it, you'll want some from them . It's not like I'm running the town or filling the bathโ€”I just need something to drink. I bought 5 of these and that's enough to completely fill my shopping cart for a couple of weeks. And the whole download takes about 2 hours. It took my ice cream maker so long to make 6 cubes. They are nested and flexible. I've been using them for severalโ€ฆ

Exchange the trays for them at the dollar store and life will be easier.

I don't often write reviews, and at least ice cube trays?! Yes. There is an interplay. I've looked through too many dollar trays assuming an ice tray is just an ice tray and it doesn't matter where we get them but it is! The cheap ones break after a few uses, the water runs inside the freezer and onto the floor on the way to the freezer, and then it's very difficult to get the ice cubes out! They are somehow more flexible and the ice pops out with the slightest twist. I've had them for over aโ€ฆ

Works well with specialty tools and gadgets

I have had blue plastic ice cube trays for years and 2 years ago a crack developed which allowed water to seep into the bottom ones. I decided to check out the new ones and after reading the reviews I decided on this one. The ice is a little smaller than my old bowls, but it has 4 more cubes. I have a 100 ounce mug (yes, 100 ounces) that I fill with three cups of ice and then fill with water. These bowls seem to have a larger overall ice volume compared to my old ones as I seem to be fetchingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • No mold required

These are the best ice cube trays

These are the best ice cube trays. We tried other lightweight plastic shells that broke after a dozen uses. They either came loose or pieces started peeling from the edges. They're better than the old fashioned Metal too, but I'm coming from memory. My ice machine stopped working, so I have to make ice cream. I've tried flexible square rubber trays. They were better than others, but they still froze fingers and took out the dice. You can leave them for a minute or two or spill water on themโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Nice to use
