This is a tiny shovel. It's well made, Rubbermaid quality. Only 10 inches wide. , a size they didn't list (probably on purpose) so I took off a star for intentionally not letting buyers know how small this item is. It's also very flat. I would never buy this if it was a tiny 10 inch device and not worth returning.

You may remember Rubbermaid as a company that made strong, durable products, often made of rubber! Well, not anymore. This shovel is as light as a feather and so thin you can literally see through the light shovel. It doesn't have any of the qualities that made their old shovel so great - because it's so light and thin, deforms easily and doesn't stick to the ground. If there weren't so many problems I would send it back.

I had the same shovel many years ago and loved it! I have been looking for a replacement and am very dissatisfied with the others I have purchased. I was excited when I found this. I am very happy with it. It's easy but does the job! Flexible enough that the edge doesn't let anything through. It takes 2 strokes - 1 to get most of the dust/dirt off, 2 to get rid of a small thin line of dust that didn't quite work! I will order more just to have on hand. Good price!

Hooray! It's amazing that I could get excited about a dust collector. I've been dealing with these dustpans that come with the broom for a couple of years and the edge is pretty steep. The steep angle of the ledge means it leaves a series of swept-up debris at the edge of the pan that you'll have to fight to get rid of. Product Condition "Rubbermaid Shovel Small White FGG16306". The picture is exactly the same as a 30 year old Rubbermaid shovel that I still want. I know a Rubbermaid shovel will last a long time. What I got was a cheap Quickie brand hard plastic dustpan. The same cheap quickie shovel I put back on the shelf at my local big box store because it's cheap crap. And it's blue, not white. At least when I asked for a refund, Revane said not to send it back. It's not even worth the postage.

I ordered this because I didn't want to settle for the cheap plastic shovels available locally. From previous experiences with Rubermaid recalls that they did a good job. Unfortunately, as far as I know, Rubbermaid can now be rebranded to Plasticmade. Instead of a quality product I got a really cheap plastic dustpan, the exact same one I didn't buy. The rim on the edge of the pan was rough so it doesn't even catch dust unless you put some sandpaper on it.
