Mold, mold protection!

Best vacuum mug I've ever bought. Beauty lies in simplicity. The main reason I bought this mug is that there are no rubber o-rings or plastic gaskets inside for bacteria to grow. The worst thing in the story for me when I think of mugs of hot tea/thermal soup/hot tea is the horrible smell of mold growing from somewhere despite my thorough cleaning. stay as hot as freshly brewed (coffee). Hours later, especially at work in the office, I forgot to open or unscrew the cap, it's still too hot to…

Fully sealed and easy to clean

Love this bottle and the flip top style. It is identical to the previous one I made at Contigo but I can't find it from that brand anymore. The steel base is virtually indestructible, with a wide opening that's easy to reach. But best of all is the simple hinged lid with no hidden springs or other mechanisms to trap particles and mold. The silicone O-ring on the lid screws and the rubber grommets covering the holes (main hole and vent hole) make it tight - I've had it lying on its side in a…

Easy to clean, secure lid, keeps my coffee HOT

UPDATE January 28, 2020 My rating is still 5 stars but I would like to upgrade my rating of the tightness of the lid. Some say it's hard to close. I think it's easy to close but it's snug which I like. *** Here's a tip to open and close it with little effort: To open: Press UP from the bottom. SEE picture #1. To close: push it down. Lift the lever with your thumb. SEE pic #2. Hope this helps. First review early January 2020: I bought it because it has double insulation and the top is super easy

Tired of mold on mug lids? YOU NEED THIS MUG!

I have 4 Rubbermaid mugs that keep spinning (all 4 colors!) and after 2 years of almost daily use I can safely say these bad boys are my favorite travel mugs. I used to be a staunch supporter of the Contigo West Loop mugs until one day I was washing one of the overly complex lid fittings and a huge piece of mold fell out. I checked my other 4 cups and YES, huge fluffy masses in each of them in the same spot. I immediately abandoned that relationship with the mug and went in search of something…

Quality product but weird mouth

Edit: It's been a wonderful 19 months but unfortunately I had to throw it away. I'm here to replace it and am changing my rating to 5 stars. This mug has always been by my side despite being tossed in every bag I have. Before I knew it, I realized that I had never brushed under two tiny, easily removable/swap pads. I'm sure you know what I found. Unfortunately, it's just the name of a game, so I tried soaking it in vinegar and whatever else you can think of, but it just got tough and tough…
