🍌 Banana Pet Costume - Rubies Review

I never thought I would ever write a review like this but it makes my dog look like a clan member. He's a clan. The hat kept catching his eyes, and the two slits in it that were for the ears didn't work, so they looked like holes cut into the hood for the eyes. Eventually he couldn't use the hat part at all because it made him look like a racist fruit. I would not recommend this product just for a banana hat piece.

I was very skeptical when I bought it, but all the other banana costumes were sold out! Ellie weighs 60 pounds and has fairly long legs. I bought the XL and it fits snug but not too tight! She's not funny, but she definitely tolerates it! The material looks a bit cheap, but overall 4 stars for the price and the look. The ear piercings on the hat are a bit uncomfortable for her long goldendoodle ears, but she still stays around without sticking her ears through.

I bought this costume for my mini dachshund (size M) and it fits me very well. He weighs around 16lbs and has bigger features than most mini dachshunds so I'm always a little nervous about ordering jackets/dog clothes for him as sizes can vary by brand. In this case the environment was perfect. I will say the hat was a bit big but the proportions of his race make his head look smaller. I just shortened one of the loops with some thread and now it's perfect. The suit is also of good quality.

My German Shepherd is a big girl, over 80lbs, so I guess I should have read more reviews before buying to know that the XL size would be too small (quite confident). The body is long enough but the straps are too short to wrap around your neck and stomach. I'll add some stuff and get it working. However, she decided the hat just wasn't going to work. Anyway, it doesn't really look like the picture, it's more of a weird KKK type hood, so let's just skip it. The suit looks cute without it.

The stitching is of very poor quality and the straps come apart before the dog even touches them. He definitely can't do anything but sit or stand still. The size is also crazy and doesn't match the table. I measured my dog and his measurements placed him right between the size chart recommendations for a medium and large size.
