Good for the price, not great

Looks good but the product is imported from Asia. The documentation states that this is a Class 2 hitch and can only handle a 200lb drawbar load regardless of installation (2-door or 4-door). The nuts are NOT welded as shown in the photo, but they can easily be modified with tape once installed. I ended up returning the item based on the language specs and paying another $10 elsewhere for a Class 3/4 hitch that extends further from the bumper, is nut welded, and made in the USA. FYI: I ordered…

High quality, looks very durable

I have not used this hitch for towing or recovery, so I can only share my preferences and observations. As some other reviewers have pointed out, there seems to be a "space" between the Jeep frame and the bracket until you tighten all the bolts. Then it's a very tight fit with no gaps, gaps or rattles. I didn't have to run any gaskets or washers. No bumper needs to be removed for installation. I had to fiddle around with all the screws a bit, but not difficult. Total installation time was about

Check out Reese instead

This is my second Wrangler that I have owned and this is the second hitch I have bought. I used to buy Reese and I liked him better. This unit is the same as the factory clutch design while the Reese sticks stick out about 2 inches as shown in the photos. My issue with this compared to the Reese is that the nuts and washers are not attached to the hitch. So I resorted to duct tape to hold them in place so the bolts can be skipped since it's almost impossible to hold the nuts in place with a…

The best towbar on the market, read it!

This looks like a heavy part you can get at the dealership for $150. Listen to me, this is important. I bought a bumper with a steel plate at the back with a hitch mount welded to the rear. At first I liked it; all in one. I hooked up my Mako 21LTS and took it on a fishing trip in Southwest Florida. On the way home, the jeep seemed to bounce as if someone was jumping up and down on the trailer hitch. I got home and was horrified to see that the rear bumper was bent 15 degrees. I had a 4" hitch…

Perfect for hitch

I bought this hitch receiver to replace my standard receiver because it didn't work with my new 10A/Hard Rock rear bumper. Nuts for bolts are built into the receiver. The 10A/Hard Rock bumper differs in that the bolts thread directly into the bumper and must sit flush with the coupler pocket. It was an inexpensive solution that fitted perfectly. It's just as durable and well built as my cane. The clip that holds the trailer cables also fitted perfectly. I was also able to use the bolts that…

Great alternative to original parts!

Except for the gloss powder coat finish, this is an identical replica of a Mopar OEM hitch. and worth 1/2 the price! The picture shows welded nuts on the hitch but they aren't welded - FYI it didn't really matter but I had to remove the rear bumper to install it. This hitch is solidly built and mates perfectly with the pre-drilled holes on the back of the frame. I also bought a Rugged Ridge harness; You can see my review here: Rugged Ridge 17275.01 4-Way Hitch Wiring Harness for 2007-2010 Jeep…
