No directions or directions. I had to remove the bowl.

no instructions or instructions. I had to remove the cup holder to install the front screw. It's also made of fiberboard and glued, once leaned on it and broke.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • not all fit

It's a good height to put your hand on

I used this design in my build, it's a good height to put my hand on. The product description lists "Black" as vinyl. rather skin. hoping to get him back for a black "jeans" with a better score.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • little things

Check the width! Update 6/2017

Make sure the seat pitch is 10 inches. My 94 Wrangler shows it should fit but is too wide. I found a 6 1/2" wide lock console from Tuffy, more expensive but all metal, very reliable. Update: I've noticed I no longer have the original YJ seats but the previous owner replaced them with TJ seats hat. (wider and taller)

Easy install but cup holders are too small and small

This console fits my 1985 Jeep CJ7 very well, looks great and easy to install. The only problem is that the cup holders are small, too small for most travel containers. This surprised me since the product is sold for SUVs. I'm hoping to find a replacement for the cup holders as they can be removed.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Updates

I installed this in my 1971 Bronco. I've read other reviews of flat cup holders and thought "how bad are they?" Well they're basically coasters. So bad I'm going to cut the bottom off with my bandsaw leaving open holes exposing the inside just to make sure the mug is deep enough not to spill all over the place. I guess I should have gotten a Smithybilt.

The console arrived in good condition and we were ready to install it in.

The console arrived in good condition and we were able to fit it into a '95 Jeep Wrangler. Revain and Rough Ridge say it fits their descriptions, but it doesn't. It only works if you don't want to move the seats. It is too tight and cannot be used on Jeep YJ applications. I never write reviews but thought I might save someone in the future.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Upgradable

YJ fasteners need to be made by yourself

The product came with a bent shank of the lock, so the key could not be closed. I tried to bend the stock back into place and the whole assembly came out on top. The material holding the shaft is thin (probably chipboard) and gives easily. The console fits between two seats in the YJ and comes with a bracket to connect to the underside and raise the backrest to level it. Overall disappointed with the overall quality and limited seat belt spacing on the YJ. My car is a 1990 Wrangler.

Garbage - Structure too thin and cheap materials

I tried to replace my non-original center console in 83 CJ7 (the console is about 15 years old). I can't remember the brand but it looks just like this one so I decided to change it up. (The vinyl on the old console is stained and was never cleaned.) Aside from that, when this NEW console came out it was clearly different. NO more plywood construction like the old one and the new one uses THIN chipboard that flexes just by pulling it out of the box. Vinyl is not just vinyl, but a cheaper…
