🔥 Rugged Ridge 17759.10 Black Hood Vent Insert for 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Review

Did exactly what I needed, the 4.0 heat is now in place. When idling, the engine is noticeably colder, you can see the heat wave coming out. This was installed on a '93 Cherokee XJ and fits well.

Take your time, don't damage the hood and enjoy. Everyone asks if I have a new hood. I like it more than available range hoods and much cheaper. Looks very good and works.

These vents work great. You can see the heat pouring out of the vents. Not to mention they look great. I have two spray nozzles on my jeep and yes they come with hose and fittings to convert to a center nozzle but I left two in my hood and they fit under the last long vent and work fine.

Looks great in combination with paint which I highly recommend before fitting. If you're a DIYer and just want a flat color then that's great, make sure you paint it before installation. Primed black bleeds easily and is just a primed color at best. That being said, there is a two part YouTube video on this durable ridge vent that is very helpful. Looks great and the hood doesn't wobble at all, I can see the heat coming out of the vents on cold days.

Looks good on my Rubicon! Looks way more aggressive than the Poison Spyder. I get compliments on these blinds all the time. I left the cross member mounts in my 2011 and would suggest painting them black before installing (if left intact) as you can see on the jeep interior beat every OCD of mine. By ensuring airflow, bonnet pop/wiggle is completely eliminated at higher highway speeds. Very pleased with the aggressive looks and functionality.

This is an amazing bleeder valve. But let me tell you mine bent into a double hockey stick and arrived WITHOUT HARDWARE. I've been waiting a month for it to arrive so here we go. Installation is not for the faint of heart, just undoing the screws to remove the hood is an ordeal. PRO TIP: Use a flashlight on the cowl screw heads for about 15 seconds to break the paint and secure the screws before attempting to loosen them.
