This rash guard has been boat tested in the UK. Definitely order the next size up. My baby is 16 months old and weighs 26 pounds and 18-24 months is perfect. If I hadn't read the other reviews I would have ordered 12-18 months and that would have been too short. Remember that rash guards should be slightly snug. We had no trouble wearing our first lettering. The quality of the material is also excellent, perfect thickness

After wearing it once and washing it, it is in terrible condition. I was going to buy 6 more if we like them and I'm so glad we waited to try one first. Too expensive. It did, however, protect my ginger baby's skin for the 2.5 hours she wore it with mineral sunscreen applied once. Another brand I paid a little for, holds and washes great.

I bought this for my 3 year old who normally wears 3T. I usually buy one size swimwear and buy him a 4t. It fits great and he can definitely wear it next summer and it won't be too big for this year. The rough stock with the inscription on the hanger came off after a few wears, but looks good. After wearing it for a while (no washing), the shirt has also faded a bit, now white on the bottom and blue on the top. It still looks very cute!

My son is almost 8 and we had to downsize him to 6 so he doesn't get too big. The sleeves are a bit short in this size, but overall it fits better. I'd say they fit just like Carter's pajama tops. Not very suitable for a skinny child but we love the brand and couldn't find a better fit. 4 stars only because of the missing slim option. Most suitable for medium-sized husky children.

Loved the quality of the shirt but had to go back and order a larger size for my child. I could even order two sizes bigger and everything would be fine.

My daughter wore it to the beach and pool for a few hours this summer, we put on sunscreen first. but this sunscreen is not reapplied. it hasn't even turned pink yet, the sunscreen is great. freer side. Sleeves can be a bit long. but my daughter is small

worth your money. They are adorable and fit perfectly. I have also washed and dried these shirts and they have not shrunk. Highly recommended

We love tight asses. This is my favorite swimwear for my boys. I've worn them in my clothes since my first son was a baby. Super comfortable, good fit and high quality material. Also, they are so cute!

This rashguard is cute, but the very first time it was worn to the beach and washed, the letters started peeling and the Babyganics sunscreen completely discolored it. That was not the case with other rashguards and this sunscreen.

The material is good and I like it. However, I recommend going up a size if it's for your child (under 12 months, not toddlers) as the head and hand openings are quite narrow and difficult to put on.

The shirt looks great and fits great. Bought two and 2 pairs of swimming trunks. I would buy many others but the letters peel off after 2 socks and 1 wash. I washed it inside out on a gentle cycle. Wouldn't recommend or buy again.

Love the quality of the fabric. This is my second purchase from Ruggedbutts. I increased the size. I bought a 2T for my 18 month old which fits perfectly so be sure to go up a size.

Great sunglasses! The only ones we use for my son. We live in Hawaii and this shirt saved us from having to wear sunscreen all the time! The size goes towards the smaller end. We always appreciate the size, especially since my son has a big head. It's hard to put smaller shirts on him!

Fits well and offers wind and sun protection as well as some warmth. My toddler loves wearing this rashguard and it's a lovely color. I already have a few of these and plan to buy more when he outgrows them.

I have bought several swimwear from this brand for my daughter and have been very happy with them, however this is my first RuggedButts order and unfortunately the shirt arrived with a dirty stain on the bottom.

This product was perfect for my two boys. It was made of a thicker material than my rashguard, but was still very breathable. We spent the day in the sun and their little bodies and hands were protected all the time. They fit very well in terms of size. I bought size 2 for my 2.5 year old and size 4 for my almost 5 year old and they fit well. I will definitely buy more rash guards from this company in the future.

Very dissatisfied with this purchase for a famous brand! Less than 2 months old, only washed and worn twice. The shirt had yellowed, air dried, and the seams were unraveling.

Now that I've seen it in person I think the rainforest color would work better but I like the way it looks so I'll just change it to this one.

I bought size 6-12 months for my 8 month old boy who turned out to be too small. I sent it back and ordered a 12-18 month top and it was exactly the same size as the 6-12 month top. Needless to say, it didn't fit my 8 month old baby either.

The fit is fantastic and the quality is great! But we got a bright yellow and after one wash was it really a faded yellow-green? 😖
