Enhanced Runaway Bike PTFE Powder (Teflon) - Includes Applicator Brush, 1.5 oz Bottle Review

This Teflon powder is just a bomb. It won't stick or stick to your chain and won't get too messy. Please note that the small applicator brush that comes with the bottle is practically useless. It is best to sprinkle some pile on a clean rag and then thread the chain through.

I used this to make a homemade chain wax for my commuter bike. It arrived quickly and will hold some chains. Today I rubbed 4 chains and there was at least the same amount of wax left in this batch. The recipe I used calls for 5g of PTFE per pound of wax, so I expect this bottle to last.

The PTFE weight listed on the label and on the Revain product page is 1.5 oz (42.5 g). I emptied the bottle on a well calibrated scale and measured out 1.2 oz (34.9 g). (See photo.) This is 20% less product than advertised. Unfortunately, there are no potential redemption factors in relation to a product if that product has been incorrectly advertised.

I just cleaned my piano knuckles with this product on the recommendation of my piano builder and WOW what an amazing difference! The touch is really buttery smooth and responsive as the jack no longer struggles with your knuckle because it's amazing. I still have most of the bottle left, so it's obviously going to last me forever. Fantastic glide. Good product. I love it and will order again in the future.

I added a teaspoon of this PTFE powder to White Lightning chain wax along with a tablespoon of molybdenum powder. The addition of these two components to the chain lubricant makes the chain very quiet and smooth-running. The chain is self-cleaning and I can keep going between chain lubes, although the molybdenum turns the chain lube black.
