Device was sent to me with a defective drain valve. It got stuck and didn't turn around. It's ok, I bought another one when I had all the hardware to install it. There is no contact information in the literature or a way to contact the company for warranty assistance. hope it lasts On a positive note, it was delivered quickly and appears to be well assembled.

Excellent for removing coarse sediment from well water. There's quite a lot of sediment and iron in my well. I use Rusco 1-12-100-F as a water softener pre-filter and 5 micron post-filter. It catches most of the sand and grit before it goes into the water softener. I installed a 3/4" Rainbird sprinkler valve on the dump valve, along with a programmable electronic interval timer, so sand and grit are automatically flushed for 10 seconds each day. Works like a champ!
