It does what it promises

My sand problem has been solved. I got a lot of sand in my water from my well. This filter catches the sand and rocks clogging my faucets and ruining my toilet. I use it as a main filter before a couple of paper filters. It is easy to clean and durable.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Good/Not Perfect Good for replacing under sink water filters

Well made and easy to install. too small to pump water out of the pond. 40-60 is more suitable. A transparent container will lead to algae growth within a few days. Must be tinted

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Good choice: water filtration and softener

Installed a 2" 100 mesh filter on the 1 1/2 outlet line of a sea water irrigation system. Pump 1.5 HP I wanted to make sure the Output volume is not lost through the filter. To be clear, the valve only flushes out the heavy sediment that collects at the bottom. You still have to remove the filter to clean it. BUT, it's very easy with just one If I had a bigger budget I would put a second one with finer mesh so I don't have to clean the filters on the drip lines.

Pros
  • Sequins
Cons
  • Cord shorter than others

Algae growth and waterlogging

Works well but after a few weeks algae started growing inside. I cleaned it with a brush, water and bleach. A few days later, no water went through the filter. I removed the internal filter and the water flowed again. I think algae or bleach clogged the micropores in the filter. I emailed the company but they never contacted me. I wrapped the glass part in foil to keep the light out and this prevented the algae from returning. I think I need to buy another internal filter. They're expensive.

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Disappearance

My second Rusco filter.

Great product! I use it to filter fine clay deposits from an artesian well (#100 mesh). It far outperforms filters with replaceable cartridges (which is a constant expense) and is easy to clean with backwashing. I bought the largest filter, 2 inches in and out, to replace a smaller filter of the same design that had been in use for 20 years. The only problem with the smaller filter is the need to wash it 1-2 times a week for high water intake. The larger filter doesn't require it, 2-3 times a…

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

I bought a 2" 100 mesh SpinDown filter and a 1" Rusco 100 mesh polyester mesh sedimentation system. I also bought 250 mesh for each. They are installed from the same source on separate lines. The 1 inch model easily washes away all particles, even bits of algae. The 2" model clogs with algae particles after a few days. The flush valve does not clean the filter. You must remove it by hand and pressure wash it. BOTH filters are light protected (avoiding algae). The source of the algae pieces is…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs
