Review on Rusco Spin Down Water Filter by Eric Surabhi

Great product! I use it to filter fine clay deposits from an artesian well (#100 mesh). It far outperforms filters with replaceable cartridges (which is a constant expense) and is easy to clean with backwashing. I bought the largest filter, 2 inches in and out, to replace a smaller filter of the same design that had been in use for 20 years. The only problem with the smaller filter is the need to wash it 1-2 times a week for high water intake. The larger filter doesn't require it, 2-3 times a year (or whenever I think about it). Since I'm deeply lazy, I hooked up an electric solenoid water valve to the 1/2" flush port. I can flush the filter by pushing the button in the utility room.
