Description of 🏎️ High-performance Speed Bleeder by Russell - Model 639540

Edelbrock's R&D staff is not only well qualified at their respective positions, but they're also automotive enthusiasts who do more than work in the automotive aftermarket-they live it-and it's at that point where understanding the inner workings of a supercharger, or an engine, EFI system becomes second nature. Whether they're manifolds, superchargers, fuel injection systems, cylinder heads, nitrous systems, or carburetors, you can rest assured that the final product was directly influenced by the passion for performance that is an integral part of our Edelbrock team. Every product we design and sell at Edelbrock is tested and approved by Edelbrock engineers in a real world environment on state-of-the-art equipment. In a day and age where we are seeing more products sent overseas to be manufactured, Edelbrock sees value in the quality control of American manufacturing by American workers and we are proud of our casting and manufacturing facilities. Edelbrock facilities have earned the world recognized ISO 9001: 2008 registration for quality. Fit type: Vehicle Specific.

Get my vote for one of the best brake and clutch upgrades ever!

Had already commented the other size of these. This has to be the coolest brake bleed idea ever! I wrote an entire article to give to the auto clubs I am a member of. One person pumps the brakes and clutch perfectly in minutes. Combine with a vacuum bleeder for fully drained systems. Give them a chance, you will be amazed. Will be used for every brake and clutch in the future!

Pros
  • With more and more products being shipped overseas for manufacturing, Edelbrock sees value in American quality control by American workers, and we take pride in our foundry and manufacturing facilities.
Cons
  • So-so

useless, might as well end up in the bin

I ordered the vent specified for my car but it WILL NOT FIT. NOT EVEN CLOSE! Giving customers an accurate size/fit guide for their car seems fairly easy, but I think it's beyond their capabilities. Or maybe they just don't care. However, I wouldn't trust putting Russell brake parts on my car anymore if they mess up something so simple. Save yourself money and wasted time looking for upgrades from another company.

Pros
  • Edelbrock R&D employees are not only highly qualified for their job, they are automotive enthusiasts who do more than just work in the automotive aftermarket - they live it - and at this point, once you understand the inner workings of a supercharger or engine, the EFI system becomes second nature.

Fits Wilwood 4-piston calipers

Fits Wildwood calipers with 1/4-28 thread. Good parts made in USA! They work as advertised. Remember to lower it completely before opening it a quarter turn to bleed. In other reviews I see a discussion about the function of the material on the threads. Russell says it's a thread sealant (not threadlocker) that prevents air from getting back into the caliper when it's backed out a quarter turn (see picture). It is recommended to check the valves after a test ride to make sure there are no small

Pros
  • Whether it's a manifold, compressor, fuel injection system, cylinder head, nitrous oxide system or carburetor, you can be assured that the end product has been directly influenced by the pursuit of performance that is an integral part of our Edelbrock team.
Cons

Exactly halved, as others have reported

Got the first one with no problems and bled the brakes in no time. Installed a second one and it kept spinning, not tightening once and then broke in half with half remaining in the caliper. This required almost no torque. This is an apparent design flaw that should be fixed by Russell/Edlebrock, as it seems many others have. I was able to remove the broken piece from the caliper by inserting a hex wrench into the broken fitting and unscrewing it again. This was the final step in getting this…

Pros
  • Type of installation: vehicle-specific
Cons
