Excellent fit, don't use copper washers

Excellent fit, but you have a 50-50 chance of the copper washers leaking. I couldn't help but get 1 copper washer for caulking, now I'm trying a neoprene washer.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some flaws

Superb quality from Russell

Don't think twice. It is worth buying. I wish they would have advertised them as steel instead of aluminum. I was looking for steel. I bought some cheaper aluminum ones and they broke very easily. They work great, I'm very impressed.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Hard to say

Russell's quality piece.

I have been using Russell products for 20 years and have never had a problem. They don't leak and work perfectly. I saw the post about the case. This is not possible, you enter them manually. The only thing I can guess is that they installed them incorrectly. Also use pipe thread sealant, it will prevent leakage if you have this problem.

my steel hardware. I didn't realize until later that they were technically 1/4-18NPSM (Jeep's gearbox is M14x1.5. They had longer threads than the M14x1.5 aluminum fittings I bought, so I used those instead. Threaded with Hand tightened to full depth then torqued down.Didn't get too hard after that.Still only 5 or 6 threads in the aluminum body.

Cons
  • Damaged

Do not take any risks!

Does not fit! They are advertised as NPSM and while they technically are, there is obviously a thread gauge issue. I'm not sure if they added a coating that increases tolerance, but they don't screw securely into the TH400 case. (Here I have reviewed 3 cases, all NPSM, with the factory NPSM connectors removed). I couldn't rotate my fingers more than 3/4 turn before they closed. For those that have had them, you're in luck as it doesn't take long to open the case these fittings go in and once…
