Seems sketchy and not working but it worked

Yes it seems sketchy and not working but it worked. I ended up drilling two slots and then drilling two holes to match the manifold. This 460 weighs almost 750 pounds and I lifted it off the back of my truck with no problems, no squeaks or pops.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • minor issues

Works absolutely perfect

I have used this on a fully assembled Vortec 350 with all accessories. It had an aluminum Edelbrock intake manifold and the lift plate worked like clockwork. I was initially skeptical about using it with aluminum but the label on the top of the plate even says it can be used up to 1000lbs with aluminum inlet. If in doubt, don't hesitate!

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Quality

I built myself a ceiling lift

It was very strong. I used it to build my own outboard motor lift and it worked great. It took me a while to drill three new holes as the metal is very hard and I had definitely worn out the bearing bit. But some oil and low speed on my drill got it working. I've saved over a hundred dollars compared to buying a Mercury tool or taking the boat to the dealer.

  • Price
Cons

+ and recommended. Works on sbf engines.

Ideal for small cars Ford (289) with 2-cylinder carburetor inlet. Landing on 4 trunks was also confirmed. The only note to add is using a carburetor gasket and washers to fill the gap at the studs. Their threads go so far onto the bolt that the gasket and washers ensure you can mount the lift plate tightly. The 289 weighs about 500 pounds and the punch worked well. There are no deformations or cracks in the welds. Recommended for quick engine removal.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Almost everything ok

Highly recommended if you have a faulty carburetor for any reason.

Essential when working on the engine. This will prevent anything from entering the intake manifold. I learned this the hard way. It is also great for lifting engines as it allows the engine to hang in a more neutral position on the hoist making it much easier to mount the engine yourself. It works very well and for the price it should be.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Protection

Worked perfectly, didn't need a balancing mechanism

Complete the task. Raised an all iron Chevy 350 automatic transmission (TH350) that weighs about 750 pounds outside and inside. The plate is flat. Never a cause for concern. A lifting ring was used on the back of the outlet to allow transmission. Therefore, the engine-transmission combination was mounted at an angle of 15 degrees to the horizontal. It wasn't enough. On the way back I used the middle lifting ring. This resulted in a 30 degree tilt. The balance was perfect. I had to push down…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Not the best

NO MORE SKEPTS on service tools

I hope the video is attached. If you can see it, it's a 5.7L (350) small block Chevy with an aluminum intake manifold. The logic is this: consider the diameter of 4 carburetor studs and compare all 4 to the diameter of one side of the chain link. The resilience of spikes is much greater than that of a chain. What about the intake manifold? Well I'm guessing this thing will corner any of your 200 pound buddies and pick them up with ease. This is a guess based on experience and on YouTube (no…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
