Don't be fooled, it's useless.

It would be nice if you could get people to believe that a small piece of metal would give their car a measurable performance boost, and then sell them that piece of metal for too much money. ? Bingo. Anyone who says they "feel the difference" experiences the so-called placebo effect. Throttle body gaskets are a clever ploy used by aftermarket companies to charge you for what appears to be a simple and relatively cheap performance upgrade for your car. Several extensive dyno tests on many…

A good product! for parts

I love making little add ons to my old Jeep Cherokee. Really just messing around but it takes my hands. I could lie and tell you that after installing it I got my NHRA license in the mail and Ashley Force left her old man for me. By the way, that would piss my wife off. LOL Here's what I noticed about this product: 1) The smoother running of the motor is a real difference. 2.) slightly better sound pickup from the line. 3.) A weird side effect was that my new exhaust rattled like a fat one when

Difficult to install on 2.5L TJ.

Not easy to install on 2.5L TJ. The spacer is very easy to assemble. I recommend cleaning the throttle body and sensors while disassembled. However, lifting the throttle cable bracket (see illustration) is not possible without modifying the bracket. Spacer for 2000 TJ 2.5L is in contact with fuel rail. I had to cut off part of the spacer that was sticking out from under the fuel rail. This allows me to only use 2 of the 3 spacers and only have 2 attachment points. Being perpendicular to the…

1991 Jeep XJ 4.0: I bought this gasket with crossed fingers, I've seen an increase in fuel economy and performance. Unfortunately, I broke the golden rule of installing more than one mod at a time, so while I did see an increase in performance, I can't attribute it to the spacer alone. Be warned, if you're installing this gasket like I did with an aftermarket throttle body, you'll need different bolts. The heads of the included bolts touched the sides of my throttle body, preventing me from…

Ease of installation, potential gains

Well, I can't exactly rate the increase in MPG, horsepower or smoothness since I installed this at the same time using a long-expired set of connectors, wires and a distributor cap and rotor. I also cleaned the throttle body and IACV when installed. But installation was very easy and after this ROUND OF MAINTENANCE the idle has settled down a bit, throttle response was smoother and a little better and I got a significant amount of mpg. On a 3" lifter with a 31 motor, stock gears and an…

Ease of Installation, Potential Benefits

So I can't accurately assess the increase in fuel per gallon, horsepower or ride as I installed this at the same time as the long overdue set of spark plugs, wires and distributors. cover and rotor.
