The Holes Are Too Small - Kitchen & Dining

The Holes are too small to make real dumplings. If you don't put less than a dime of meat in it, the dough will tear as you try to take each piece out, or it will be mostly dough and almost no filling. If I were you I would go with a large hole diameter or just do sawdust by hand.

Works as expected but needs improvement.

Shape was as expected except one of the 'legs' was broken in transit. I used Aleene Mixed Media Glue and everything was fine. . I need less than 1/2 teaspoon of filling. If more, and if the filling and the bottom layer of dough are pushed through by rolling, the top layer will be hard enough to cut the dumplings, and the dumplings will become a kind of flat pillow on the other side. You have to squeeze them together and slide them back through the hole. If you shake or tap the mold, they won't…

Still needs a few tips on handling

All in all a great thing if you know how to use it. The cell size is super small, which is great. No easier or better than making dumplings by hand, but faster and more consistent. In each cell you need to put a maximum of 1/2 tsp. meat, otherwise they will stick together. Be sure to apply a thin layer of oil before use. Make the bottom layer of dough thicker and the top layer thinner. Sprinkle the layers with plenty of flour. To cut dumplings, you need to make a lot of effort with a roller…
