Bad Hardware: Security

The screws are too long and unnecessary, when I tightened them on the door they broke in half before they even got close to my door

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Minor issues

It will do for now. on RV Parts and Accessories

Does the job but if you lock it from inside the RV someone outside can still open the door. The only safe way to lock it is to lock it from the outside with the key.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Vulgarity

The key cannot be opened from the outside.

The product works if you don't want to lock it from the outside. So if you remove the key from the equation, it works fine. But I bought this so I can lock the camper. To lock it, you have to turn the lock so fast that you close it maybe after 15 times.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • A few little things

Good for the 2000's Viking pop up tent

Good replacement for the early 2000's Viking pop up tent. I had to cut the spring with wire cutters and shorten the studs to the correct length/size, but that didn't bother me. You can reuse the original keyed toggle switch and screws if you wish. I lost my original nib so I can't comment on that.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Not bad

Don't waste your money

It was a waste of my money. I upgraded the lock latch before I sold my 2003 pop up camper. Installation was difficult as the spring and screws had to be cut although they were identical to my old latch. Can't even get the key to lock the door. Useless product for me. Would return it if I didn't cut the spring to try and make it work.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Hard to say
