1/2 " medium chuck, 5 " average stroke, medium power.

This is a power drill that will help you. Look for it in the offer as price is the only determining factor for this level of product. It will do almost anything your hobby requires. This is not a professional tool. I bought mine at a very good price because I needed a drill press for an electronics prototyping job. That's my hobby. I build stereo amps, DACs, phono preamps, etc. from parts sold on eBay, Revain, local hardware stores, and the like. That's enough for a hobby like mine. My neighbor

Pros
  • Powerful asynchronous motor for lasting performance
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other pickaxes

I expected a little more from Ryobi. But it works.

I just bought this item and so far it's working well For the money, $140.00, not bad. The top pulley for the belt pulls too hard on the adjustment so she barely loosens it to change the belt's position relative to the other pulley. It will loosen a little (just a little), but you'll have to unscrew the belt from the pulley. After the top pulley is removed, all other pulley/belt positions allow more slack in the adjustment screw to allow the belt to move more easily. Not that big of a problem…

Pros
  • 5 speeds for different drilling operations
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged

My wife ordered the 8" model in HD. I just needed to be able to drill relatively precise holes in blanks for grips up to 3.5". The assembly instructions are too small and poorly written. Watch any unboxing video on YouTube, they are generally better After reading all the warnings that the chuck could fall off the MT mandrel due to improper chuck installation, I used a heat treatment method to mount the chuck You have to be very careful not to damage the pulley cover! Conversely, I noticed that…

Pros
  • Accepts slotted attachments for more versatility.
Cons
