In the end everything worked out. At first I thought the part that sticks to the motherboard was broken because there was a piece of paper on the back of the tape that I couldn't tear off. I went ahead and attached it to the motherboard with a piece of paper and then put the tape in the connector and to my surprise it worked. Very easy, the hardest part was breaking the screen, the square thing at the bottom has a little thing attached that seems to be called a digitizer or something anyway make sure you touch the screen before putting it back on. If that doesn't work, just wiggle the piece until it does. It was a huge process removing the motherboard and battery to get the digitizer. I just took wire cutters and cut off a piece of plastic that got in the way of putting it back in, you can't tell, and it saved me 30
