Description of ๐Ÿšฒ SABLUE Bicycle Bike Chain Keeper: Secure Your Chain with the Dummy Sleeping Hub Tool (02 Red)

Float along an axle. Designed to hold a bike chain away from the frame during cleaning, transporting, lubing and storage a bike. It's easy to use: simply remove the rear wheel and fit the Chain Keeper in the wheel dropout above the rear derailleur. It keeps the chain tensioned and away from the frame and paintwork. Used to stop your chain from getting tangled up during transportation or when cleaning your chain, avoids tangle and keeps the frame from scratching. Not affected by cleaning chemicals or lubrication products. Suitable for MTB and road bikes, aluminum and carbon frame.

Nice design, good build quality, great price.

A very useful addition to any bike maintenance tool. This is easily possible with ball bearings inside the reel. Just received it and have only used it once on my bike but I think it should serve its purpose for years to come.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Don't waste your money

Don't waste your money. If you have a thru axle, it won't fit. It's not wide enough to fit the quick release hole. This tool is useless. In addition, you will be charged more than $6 for returning a $7.99 purchase. Don't waste money. Buy one of the park's tools, a well-known product that works.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Nothing here

It won't slip, better remember where you are next time you use it.

I have a couple of bikes and enjoy working with them, but I keep forgetting I have this thing. If I remember, you're glad you have it. I just wish I could remember what gear to put the bike in for this thing to work properly. Therefore 4 stars.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Updates

Works as expected, but I'd like to buy a version that fits both dropouts.

Works as expected but I want to buy a version that fits both dropouts. This one works fine, but if you removed the wheel from the wrong COGS, you'll have to fiddle with derailleurs to put the chain in. Not a big deal, but next time I'll probably go with the reset pass-through version.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Great travel solution

Works great. I always have to remove both wheels when traveling and this keeps the chain taut, prevents tangling and avoids scratching the frame. The only downside (if any) is that I have to have the bike in a specific gear to ensure the chain lines up with the wheel, but I have a large rear cassette and that's understandable given its versatility.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

I love this product!

I use this product to clean and lubricate my bike chain. I can remove the rear wheel, clean the rear drive and wash off the biodegradable citrus degreaser with a light spray. I use ProLink chain lube, similar to WD-40, it evaporates and leaves a super smooth finish that doesn't attract dirt. So here's my routine: I clean the chain, install it with a SABLUE chain keeper, lube the ProLink, ride the chain a few times and leave it overnight, then install the rear wheel and ride. This is anโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Some little things

Needed for service

Pictured is a good Trek bater that I bought for money on FB MP: Unfortunately, bikes are in high demand today and there are few offers, so prices are higher than they should be. Finding a new bike for a growing eight-year-old is prohibitively expensive, hence the aftermarket. However as this is a birthday present my wife wanted it to be as clean as possible. I can do this without a bike stand, but a chain holder is REQUIRED. Once the wheels are off, I can balance the frame and components fairly

Pros
  • Nice thing
Cons
  • Almost never
