Extremely disappointed with product; Arrived with the bearing missing and has obvious signs of wear with peeling paint and loose components. Not at all like the advertised chain holder.

I use it when transporting a bike in the trunk and when cleaning the bike. It works exactly as described and does the same thing as the more expensive branded chain holders. It seems well made and I think it will last a long time.

Firstly, the instructions provided are useless. If this is your first time trying to put this on, you'll probably need to watch videos online. Second, I really wish it could be wider to fit bigger bikes. It is very narrow and hardly fits my racing bike. Definitely recommend getting another one.

Firstly this is not an idler wheel - it must not rotate with the chain and it is not necessary. The chain slides well over the nylon wheel. I have this to replace the smallest cog on the cassette so I can turn the cranks with the wheel removed for cleaning. Great for that and at a great price. It's not designed to be used with a thru-axle, but it still works.

I took a chance buying this blind socket and I'm glad I did. All parts are of very good quality, from the materials to the fit and finish. Bearing and wheel are very good. At half the price of a similar Park Tool item, that's no problem. Unlike this Sablue article, the Park Tool version lets you toggle a switch; However, this is not strictly necessary to use these dummy hubs. So I'm very happy with it.

I had never used a dummy hub and while installation instructions were included I didn't realize the importance of getting the derailleur perfectly aligned with the dummy hub is. The pulley on the dummy hub does not move, so unlike the gear train, the chain does not move into position as it does with the gear train.
