Waste of money for interior decoration

I will be traveling alone for about 2 months and bought this to feel safer in the different hotels and Airbnb I will be staying in. I received these and immediately opened the package to put the battery in and try it out. The small screw on the back cannot be removed. None of the screwdrivers I have (of which I have many) will fit. Also, the screw is now damaged and I doubt I can find a way to open it. With such an article, the correct screwdriver must be sent along. It was a waste of money and

Hello Alarm, Goodbye Thief

Fantastic. Very loud. I left one on the front door without telling my wife until she got home. She entered, the door wouldn't open behind her, the alarm went off. Not only did it scare her, but I slept in a cave and it scared the hell out of me too! Fantastic door alarm that I don't think anyone should be without, even if you have an alarm. I travel a lot for work and having one of these by the door in my room is an added peace of mind. Inexpensive enough that you can provide for your family…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Quality

Contrary to other reviews, this fits my bedroom door perfectly and in my test it was very difficult for someone to open the door without kicking it in all the way. But with a high decibel siren, I would have had enough time to wake up and access the current situation. That's not my only deterrent, they still have to go through my security system and motion detectors before they even get to my bedroom door. But in case something goes wrong, this little doorstop provides extra protection and also

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Purchased in February. When I was planning my next trip, I simply took the doorstop out of the box to test it with the new battery I bought for it. Turns out the screw is so tiny you can't unscrew it. I have an extensive assortment of screwdrivers, including some with very small heads; None of them work and therefore the screw to unscrew to insert the battery does not come out. It was necessary to take a closer look at the reviews about this doorstop, otherwise it turns out that this is a…

Ideal for flatmates

I need this because I often have to leave the door open when cooking or roasting to let air in and out through the apartment window. My loft apartment has no ventilation other than the back window and front door, and they are on opposite ends of the apartment (60 feet apart). The problem is that both have to be open to the air, in which case there is a risk of someone entering the premises without me being constantly guarded. Being able to leave the door ajar to ensure it doesn't open again is…

SABER and GE on alarm systems

Bought a GE personal security alarm and a SABER door alarm each to compare. SABER and GE are very comparable in terms of cost, size and weight, but the SABER features are far superior to GE. The SABER alarm can be heard across the 3,800 square feet. feet, and it's WAY, WAY LOUDDER than the GE. the ON/OFF switch on the back of the device is switched off. Based on my 26 years police experience I can assure you that SABER is by far the best choice for a very cost effective, easy to use and…

Highly Recommended - Anti Theft

Works as advertised. Gave one to a neighbor in her 20s whose crazy landlord kept dropping in unannounced. She said it worked to block his entrance and they both heard the loud screech of a burglar alarm. I just bought one for myself and will take it with me when traveling as I have woken up way too many times to the sound of someone trying to break into my room in the middle of the night. We tested that at home too. I have concrete floors with a LL Bean rubber mat at the entrance and this wedge

Very good intruder alarm system.

Does what it promises and more – Acts like a wedge in a door, can slow an intruder and sound the alarm louder than ever. When the door activates, the piercing alarm is phenomenally loud. I felt better that the groom used it on the trip. Although it does not stop the intruder, it wakes up the user and those around them, and the piercing screech of the alarm clock can deter the intruder. Easily portable in a briefcase, I would recommend it to weary travelers, especially if you're staying in…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of style

It's simple, it's effective, but the right function depends on your floor surface. Who doesn't want to finish reading. Conclusion: This is a great and simple solution to prevent people from entering your home while you are at home. However, you will also need to purchase a 9V block battery, you will need a micro-screwdriver to install the battery, and you will need to purchase a simple mounting solution (see below) for slippery floors (such as wood floors, stone, or tile). Package Contents: I…
