Works like a charm - weird stats though

Received on time, data pasted, copied and it worked perfectly. Strange: After I copied all the data to it (needs to do twice, which was about 6T records), the CrystalDiskInfo tool said the health was 96%, which could indicate a pretty sharp drop? Even more puzzling is that the tool claims the drive was powered on 1677 times. This would mean that I've been powering the drive off and on every 10 minutes since I've had it. It doesn't make any sense at all. The packaging was intact (all the usual…

Pros
  • NVMe M.2 PCIe Gen4 x4 interface. PCIe 4.0 Compliant/NVMe 1.3 Compliant.

Game Changer as a GPU Revolution

In the heat of the PS5 and XSX demonstrating the performance of ultra-fast PCIe4.0 M.2 SSDs, I decided that in my next build I'd use all the classic mechanical hard drives would completely drop SATA. SSDs in favor of this new M.2 SSD norm closest I could handle. I needed to find a very large, very fast storage medium at a reasonable price. Enter the Sabrent Rocket Q4. I designed my build from scratch with 6GB of storage, using three of the 2TB versions of that exact drive. I can't adequately…

Pros
  • All Sabrent SSDs come with FREE Sabrent Acronis True Image for Sabrent software for easy cloning. For those who need a specific sector size for cloning existing SSDs, the recently released Sabrent utility allows users to reformat a Rocket drive and select the sector size of their choice: 512 bytes or 4KB.
Cons
  • It's hard to remember, but it was

I installed this drive as drive c: in a new build on an ASUS Prime TRX40 board with AMD 3960X along with a WD 1TB PCIE 3.0 stick as drive d:. Windows installed without any problems, but about 70% of the time I tried to boot, I got the "No boot disk" error. I've tried clearing the cmos, updating the bios, reinstalling the devices in their m.2 slot but still seeing this weird inconsistent behavior. I thought there might have been some weird hardware incompatibility issues or BIOS settings issues,

Pros
  • fixed them. Supports SMART and TRIM commands. Supports ONFi 2.3, ONFi 3.0, ONFi 3.2 and ONFi 4.0 interfaces.
Cons
  • write later

A game changer on par with the GPU revolution

So far so good.

I'm always hesitant to review things like this so soon after I've received them. In the last week after receiving this SSD, I tested it myself and it worked pretty well. Monday I couldn't resist. I don't use this drive for the OS, I use my existing M.2 as my system drive, this is just for adding extra storage, mainly for gaming. but also free up storage space for media files like music and movies. Installation was very easy. (On my Asus X570 I had to remove the M.2 heatsinks and chipset cover…
