Safco Products 3271BL Desktop Organizer Review

I took someone's advice to super glue them together so they don't fall apart when I take them out of the top basket. Many reviews said they needed extra pegs to stack extra baskets on top of the original three. I had plenty of extra pegs so I could add another basket on top if I wanted. Exactly what I was looking for! A stack of printer paper fits on it.

I specially ordered this product to fit under a shelf on my desk. The dimensions given are completely wrong and do not correspond to my ideas. None of them match the actual dimensions of the product. The dimensions listed with the product on the Revain website are 5.8 x 10.5 x 14.5 inches. Actual dimensions are approximately 8.125 x 9.25 x 12 inches. Otherwise it looks like a good product.

Good mesh shelves at a reasonable price. I have two sentences. One behind the doors under the printer to store paper, and another set under the bottom of the cabinets to allow quick access to files that are in use. I have a very small workspace at the end of the kitchen counter in our apartment, so saving space is important. I super glued the support posts to the trays and made a bracket to attach them to the bottom of the cabinet. See photo.

If you're looking around and are currently tempted to buy a slightly cheaper set of plastic shells, don't. They are well designed with nice clean edges and strong posts to hold them together. Baskets are slightly taller than regular metal trays, making them both beautiful and useful. In comparison, an entire stack of unopened paper can be placed in each tray. Updated 11/05/2013: I love that they are metal - MUCH better than the plastic ones but I gave up on using them due to the design. Defect.

I love this product except my purchase less than a year ago is almost useless unless the manufacturer/seller can provide me with tiny pins that fit between tiers. I was looking for a way to contact the seller but couldn't find it. Excuse me. So the little pins between the levels are very loose and if you just hit them wrong they will fall apart. Very nice. My main complaint is that they connect with small plastic rods that are easy to lose or break and don't give you any extras. I estimate they cost less than $0.01 per rod. I bought two sets of these to stack high for six (which I still would happily do). Unfortunately the 4 extra plastic sticks you need to stack the two sets on top of each other are not included. Having multiple USB 3.0 external hard drives, I was wondering how I could safely stack them on top of each other to save space and still have good airflow or ventilation between them.
