I love that I can easily turn up the temperature while ingesting - well I should, I don't hear any beeps. I have tinnitus and I think the beeps are the same frequency as my tinnitus. So when the F stops flashing, you're done! That's the only problem I have with this wonderful device. The long probe makes it easy to hold in the mouth without holding the device. That's nice. Simply a good and inexpensive thermometer.

It's beautiful and practical, but as another reviewer pointed out, you have to look at the flashing F and once that's done you know the temperature is ready to read, but it's hard to see with a thermometer in your mouth and seeing with your eyes when F stops blinking. It's not clear why they increased the price so much since I bought it because it doesn't work. This is my second attempt to get a working thermometer and after weeks of waiting they are not working. This one and the last one don't squeak either. This one showed 97.2 as soon as I turned it on. After waiting with it under my tongue for much longer than the prescribed 8 seconds, the temp still read 97.2 and there was no beep. It will be returned. I don't know how or where people get working…
