Works perfectly. - Computer Accessories and Peripherals

Like other reviewers, these mounts are great. Its very good feature is the notch at the end of the cable, it accommodates the connectors at right angles, which is very practical. Also comes with mounting screws.

Wrong Screws: Computers and Accessories

Here I sit down on the wrong choice of screws. The supplied screws are not suitable for the 2.5" drive. All supplied screws have coarse threads.

A little work but the job is done

Decent quality, good price. Unfortunately, the holes didn't line up with the latches on my Dell base station. I had to drill holes. fit. The holes that house the SSD fit into the center of this compartment, pushing the cable connectors farther than the original SATA connectors. My cables were pretty tight when I put my DVD back in. I hope they don't come out over time. I think some more well spaced holes need to be made on the bottom and sides. to provide more mounting options and accommodateโ€ฆ

Wrong threads

This bracket replaces a 3.5" drive to install a 2.5" drive. Well, any geek knows that the mounting threads on a 2.5" drive are very thin, while on a 3.5" drive the threads are much coarser. But this mount has fine threads where coarse threads are needed to use the same screws to attach the mount. Therefore, the screws that hold the replacement drive in place will not thread into this bracket. Buy the blue Hymeca 2Pack mounting bracket instead - it has the correct coarse threads where theyโ€ฆ

Poor fit and non-standard screw sizes.

Two ordered. One was almost bent in half. 50% fault of the manufacturer for bad packaging and 50% fault of Revain for not better packaging. The holes for the screws that attach the brackets to the case are also a bit unusually large. Not only do they barely fit the included screws, they also don't fit standard 5.25-inch drive mounting screws. Screws that require a different offset are out of luck. The attached picture of the longer screw is from the Antec P80 I've built Computers are over 25โ€ฆ
