3 months of walking and the sole is gone

I liked the shoes and used these shoes 2-3 times a week for walking. All my walks were no longer than 2 miles, mostly on hiking and biking trails. I'm disappointed that the rubber outsole didn't last even 6 months after purchase (bought at the end of February). It's time to look for another brand or another type of shoe where the sole will last longer. I have emailed the warranty department which gives a 2 year warranty on the shoes. Waiting for your reply.

Excellent running shoes. for walking

So far I am very impressed with these shoes. I mainly run on trails that can be sandy or muddy in places. They really repel dirt - I haven't seen dirt stick to them yet. Some users don't like the Quicklace system, but after a few runs I really like them. You stay tense. I bought a set of spare laces in case I break one along the way. However, I keep my New Balance trail running shoes for running on concrete or pavement. These Salomon speedcross shoes are NOT comfortable on the road, I feel tooโ€ฆ

Simply the best shoes a man can have

Probably my 7th pair of Salomon shoes in the last 10 years. I wear them here, there and everywhere when hiking, biking, walking etc. I've even played basketball in them a few times. They've traveled all over the world with me (Burundi, Ecuador, Poland, Spain, Hawaii, whatever!) as I love their combination of lightness, strength and waterproofing (GTX only). If I take a hit on them, the sole wears out fairly quickly, so I go through a pair in about 12-14 months. However, I wear them 80% of theโ€ฆ

The best shoes for trail running!

Ha โ€“ it's not often that I review Revain โ€“ but I do love talking about this shoe. And I love promoting great products. I run about 5 miles a day on single track forest mountain trails in Northwest Montana. I had the Speedcross GTX 3 and 4, both great shoes. 5 is better and I like it a lot. It has a stiffer sole so you don't feel the rocks as much. It's slightly higher in the back so it feels more secure. Traction is amazing - running through mud and puddles, loose rocks - complete confidenceโ€ฆ

power to the people. Right?

Don't get me wrong, I love the Salomon Speedcross. I've been a loyal user since Speedcross. The problem is that people have complained about the Speedcross 3, saying they are too soft. Too soft and doesn't offer enough support. When the 4 speedcrossers came out they were a lot less soft than the 3 speedcrossers. I really loved them and thought these 4s were perfect, but they were actually too low in the heel and you could risk pinching yourself because of it. Guess what. They fixed the heelโ€ฆ

  • Everything is fine!

I'm really impressed. So far the tread has performed flawlessly for me through grass, gravel, mud, tree roots and the usual matt trails. Now I understand why they advertise so much Ortholite cushioning. It's a great balance of compliance and durability, comfortable to walk on yet tough enough to inspire confidence no matter the terrain. The Goretex sleeve is really the reason I bought it and I'm not disappointed. It wraps the sole well, keeping you dry in inch-deep mud, snow, or puddles withโ€ฆ

Great trail/winter/wet running shoes

I needed to replace my old Brooks Ghost GTX winter shoes and after a lot of research and reading reviews I decided on the new Ghost GTX, La Sportiva Kaptiva GTX , ASICS GT-2000 8 G-TX and Speedcross 5 GTX. Ghost and Asics were rejected as they were regular gore-tex lined shoes that didn't have added weather protection on the toe or sides and I don't think the gore-tex will hold up with constant use. unprotected. Inside La Sportiva there was a wading sock-like system that might make sense forโ€ฆ
