Pay a little more at the next Salomon prize and you'll get a much better shoe. I used to have several pairs of Salomon sneakers that I really liked and they looked the same and were a little cheaper. In fact, they're just a lot cheaper - no sockliner or arch support and a thin mesh upper. They're also a bit odd in color.

This is the second pair of Salomon shoes I've bought and they fit snugger than my first 3 pairs. Remember that they were different models, but the shoe size should not depend on which model you choose, especially if they are all from the same manufacturer. I would describe the Salomon Pathfinder as: light, durable (not very soft like a cross-training shoe) and above average in looks (very subjective of course).

I bought these shoes in August 2020, now it is August 2021. These shoes were comfortable but ran a little small. The insole didn't hold up and there were a few holes in the front mesh. I bought them for forest walks and light hikes. Too bad they fell apart after a year of brief use. If you need a pair of shoes to walk around the mall these are great, but I wouldn't recommend them if you're hiking or running cross country, they just fall apart quickly.

I used to have two pairs of these shoes and they have been great. Each pair has literally clocked up over 1,000 miles and they've been great on the road and on the track. Protect your feet from bumps and roots on the trail while providing great traction. This new couple is completely different. The sole is softer and you can feel the rocks and roots on the sole. I bought these specifically for their water resistance. The first time in a very fine drizzle, on the street with no puddles that ran out immediately. I never expected gummies, but a little more. They're also not windproof, so not for cooler conditions. They are also very small. I usually wear men's size 10. Sometimes 10.5 but I had to go for 11. Generally I have high and low top OTBs that fit and wear better and are just as waterproof and wind resistant (no ads). Just a waste of money for me.

I've had this pair of shoes for a few weeks now. To be honest I was quite disappointed at first because they were tighter than expected and my legs really hurt for the first few days. After a few weeks I've worn them a bit and it's a very noticeable tear as they've stretched out a bit to fit my foot and are a lot more comfortable. I usually wear a US 10.5 Wide. So sometimes I need 11 if the shoes are tight. I've never had a shoe I've ever bought, I needed a size 11.5. In these I did. So order at least 1/2 size larger and be prepared to send them back 1/2 size larger. One reviewer said they are not small and should be snug and "give them time to adjust".
