Solomon improved on this model by improving structural support around the heel and across the front of the shoe. This makes it a great shoe for hiking in comfort and just looking cool. :-)

the shoes themselves are definitely very good. Unfortunately it was extremely tight. I have slightly wider feet and they don't even fit in a size bigger. So unfortunately they have to go back.

These shoes have a great fit, are very comfortable and I bought them before attending a large indoor meeting. When I first ran I ran about 5 hours on concrete, carpet on concrete, mud and grass with no pain or discomfort.

I usually wear a size 10 but with this lacing system. The shoes are an inch too big. I don't feel safe in these shoes when running or exercising. The wrong size creates a lack of trust, safety and security

Great shoes for me! I came to Salomon after trying all the leading brands. And then he never looked back. Sense Ride4 fully lived up to expectations. It took me some time to get used to my wide feet due to the narrow shoes. But now it's like walking in the clouds! Only the bottom grip is a bit flimsy compared to other shoes like the XA3D Pro, but I think it's obvious that such a thick sole doesn't fit in a running shoe!

Haven't tried it yet but read good reviews about the shoes. So I hope that when I run with him he will live up to expectations. Otherwise it fits well and is true to size. The quality feels good and I think it's value for money.

I ordered them to try on before buying as they are hard to find around town. Once I ordered a size too big but it was great. Salomon makes great products and I trust them with my money. I will definitely buy them next time I need shoes.

I really liked the look of these shoes but there is no lining on the tongue which makes these shoes quite uncomfortable. I ended up sending these back. I have Sense Ride 2 but they are much more comfortable for me.

I have several pairs of Salomon shoes and these are by far the worst. As I walk, I hear a popping sound and the shoe's tongue flexes and rubs against the toe of my foot. I love the brand but will not buy this shoe again.

Both shoes click with every step. This happens when the upper of the shoe is wrinkled. Too loud to ignore. Maybe I was just unlucky with the pair I received but I will be sending them back. Good show, except for this problem.

Came back with multiple blisters on my big toe. I don't usually wear wide shoes. Otherwise great shoes for the trails. Deadlift is what you would expect from a weight. I recommend it for most dry singletrack.

These don't fit that well. Lots of heel slip and long toe box - my feet go with everything but they hate it. Got them back after a run. There was also an odd click as the mid-toe insert popped out of the ill-fitting upper. Was really looking forward to them but was very disappointed after waiting over 2 months for them to be in stock. I hope Ultraglide works better.

I've been hiking in deep snow and ice for the past few days and while the Horror is fairly light to wear in winter, my feet stayed warm (-16C. Just a few inches of snow with ice underneath). The profile held up and down the hills well.

Poor quality and to be honest I was a bit disappointed that I bought these shoes. They don't look like Solomans. I have had numerous pairs and honestly I would be better off buying the shoes from Wal Mart. save your money

These running shoes make a terrible squeaking noise when walking or running. It's embarrassing. I've had several Solomons pairs that I love but not this pair. Bad design maybe?
