After reading many reviews of similar products that rust I got this one. They are very profitable and seem to be quite reliable. FYI, I found a similar set at Target for about $2 and bought them for free. The $2 set is available here at Revain for about $6. I use mine daily to season with Himalayan salt and lemon pepper. Good size, weight.

Happy with it so far. I wonder if they'll ever slip out of my hands if I have oily hands or if I have lotion on them or something, but so far so good. You look great. I think they put a pretty decent amount of salt and pepper in at once. not too much, but maybe a little more than someone trying to control their salt intake would like. I think. I love the look and the size and might like it. But as you can hopefully see in the photo, the thread is only one and a half turns and not very deep. Due to the thin metal and loose fit, the lid is not securely attached. You don't twist it tight (everything spins), you pull it off almost effortlessly and salt collects between the lid and jar. This is terrible. They look pretty classy; I like her looks. But even with tightly screwed lids, salt and pepper get between the glass and metal lid and flow out. The table or cupboard is constantly littered with salt and pepper. When we remove the lids/lids to fill, the salt and pepper will fall out and you can immediately see that the salt and pepper have come out of the jar "jug" and have pooled between the jar and the metal lid . Don't buy them. You are useless.

I have only used a salt shaker so far. In wet weather, the salt will clog the entire inside of the lid, not just the holes, to a depth of over 1/8 inch. Too much salt has accumulated to add to the food. In addition, the metal cover has not been treated against rust, so there is now rust in the cover, including around the holes. We've had a lot of wet days but it's not like I live by the sea, I live in the mountains and it shouldn't be.

I needed some very basic salt and pepper shakers to keep in my spice cabinet while I was cooking. I use large packs and just pour into my palm and pinch what I need. They looked like old school diners so I ordered them. They arrived today and I can tell you they will be replaced. Mine arrived intact, no chips or sharp edges. The lids are terrible.
