Works as expected, connector will not connect to oven connector

As previously mentioned the electrical connector on the replacement motor is the wrong size and will require some modification to make the connection. I decided to remove one of the metal spade connectors from the oven's plastic case (carefully prying the plastic open by pulling/pushing the metal spade connector through the front of the connector) and then connected the bare spade connector to one motor terminal and the other connector. (still in the plastic housing) to another motor terminal…

Not quite compatible

was purchased to replace the top fan in the oven. As others have noted, this fan points the power lugs in the opposite direction. No big deal, I just added 6 inches or so to the wires to allow them to reach. Installed the motor and then tried to attach the fan. The nut didn't turn! I struggled for a while that cross threads would do it so I removed the motor and tried to find a suitable nut (large trash can) and after 30 minutes found nothing, I realized that the threads were the end the motor…

Pros
  • Wide range

  • Hard to remember but

The new part is identical to the used one.

So it would be very easy to install if not trying to reattach the indoor fan. This is a Samsung bug. Make sure you have a set of connectors/ratchets on hand as you will need to remove these and then be patient when reconnecting. Longer arms also help. My convection fan broke earlier this year and then the heat above didn't seem hot enough. I bought this part to see if I could a) keep this unit out of the landfill and b) save myself over $600. At the moment the convection fan is running again…

Doesn't really fit right

The way it's installed doesn't allow for a power connection without major rewiring at the back of the stove. We even used Amazon's detail checker to see if it would work, but it didn't, making it even more annoying. The nut that came with the plate that should work with this fan retainer is not compatible and they will not send you one that actually works. This suggests this is an OEM part but I doubt it. I had to send my part back and try to find a new one, which means more days without an…

The electrical connection differs from the original motor.

Replaced the convection fan motor on my Samsung Electric Oven Model FE710DRS/XAA-001. Built-in motor DG96-00110E. The removed motor was 110A. The electrical connection is wrong. I had to remove the wires from the connector and crimp the different ends to connect. Also note that the fan blade nut has left-hand threads that must be loosened. This convection motor had only been running for about a year when it stopped working.

Pros
  • Weight

  • Large and bulky
