his only job is to light up the control panel. It controls all the functions of my TV, just like the one I drowned. (BTW: I put the submerged remote in a bowl of dry rice for two weeks and now it works just as well as before, including the backlight. If you can afford to wait two weeks.)

All buttons and key assignments are the same as on the original remote control. All the functions work just like the original, so I can use this remote without looking at the buttons. I usually watch OTA channels and change channels often, so I like to change channels without looking at the remote.

I needed to buy a replacement remote for my 42" Samsung which I have owned for over 6 years and I was grateful I didn't have to search far to find a legitimate remote that wasn't counterfeit ! The remote was a genuine Samsung OEM remote and didn't need to be synced or programmed after the batteries were installed as all Samsung remotes are universal.

I ordered this remote control because my original remote control for my Samsung TV was lost years ago. Because cable TV was so high, I wanted to save money by plugging in an antenna, but I needed the original TV remote. Well, it arrived a few days earlier than planned. And, bam, the TV turned on immediately and after 10 minutes my antenna was working. Highly recommended.

Received this remote control because the original was lost. It worked great with the 32 inch flat screen I'm gifting. I hate donating items that are missing basic accessories. Let me start by saying that this review is for a used Samsung TV remote control. It was listed as new for $1.41 and $4.50 by marketplace seller Revain Ozarfar.
