Compatible with Nintendo Switch

Purchased for Nintendo Switch. It's compatible and works great. So far no problems. I have purchased many microSD cards from Samsung over the years and none have disappointed me. Definitely recommend!

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Can't remember

WRONG SAMSUNG MEMORY CARD?

I suspect these 2 Samsung 64GB cards I bought are fake. I put them in my phone and it said they were slow and considering using a UHS-1 memory card. This is supposed to be a UHS-1 card. On the back of the card was a sticker that hid the real barcode.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Good but not great

Required for my budget phone

I got a great budget LG Stylo 4 phone with Spectrum Mobile for $10 a month but it doesn't have much storage. I had a lot of photos transferred from my old phone that were taking up storage space. A 64GB card helped. Can you imagine that this small SD card has more memory than was used in the entire Apollo Luna program?

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Big and bulky

I ordered this product expecting to receive a UHS class U3 memory card as shown in the picture. Instead, I received a UHS Class U1 card. The site clearly states that the write speed is 60MB/s. A maximum write speed of 20 MB/s is specified on the supplied package. Attached are photos of the delivered item. I was able to purchase two Micro Center brand memory cards of the same size and speed class at a lower price.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Minor repairability

Great cheap upgrade for kids tablets

I bought 3 of these to upgrade my kids Kindle Fire tablets as the 8GB that comes with the tablets (closer to 4GB usable) in really not enough for everything in practice (shame on the Kindle for selling them with so little storage!). All 3 memory cards worked upon arrival and they gave new life to tablets that were only marginally useful when only a few books and apps were installed. They're fast enough and seem reliable so far. Featured!

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

Samsung Evo Plus and SanDisk Extreme

A better comparison would be the Samsung Pro range of SD cards with SanDisk Extreme, but I was curious how a cheaper card would compare to a card that's known for it the fastest. There is a newer version of SanDisk Extreme called A2. So if you buy, get the newer version. As you can see, both tests are very similar in their results. The budget EVO Plus has about 20MB/s slower write speeds than the more expensive Extreme, but that's a pretty negligible difference for read speeds. For action cams…

Pros
  • Rugged Finish
Cons
  • Damaged

Write speeds of 100MB/s and 60MB/s

I have ordered 2 packs of 64GB MB-MC64GA cards, labeled both on the box and on the back of the SD card itself are. Both the box and the card also show UHS-1 and U3 speed ratings. Tests confirm the stated read and write speeds (sequential): 100 MB/s read and 60 MB/s write. If you don't get these speeds, make sure the data path between the card and the computer is fully USB 3.1 compliant. . If there's a USB 2.0 hub or reader along the way (like the one on the front of my computer), the speed…

Samsung Evo Plus and SanDisk Extreme

A better comparison would be the Samsung Pro range of SD cards with SanDisk Extreme, but I was curious to see how the more affordable card would compare to the more familiar card . be one of the fastest. The budget EVO Plus has about 20MB/s slower write speeds than the more expensive Extreme, but that's a pretty negligible difference for read

Cloning software stinks

I bought this SSD to replace a failed one on my desktop computer. The price seemed in line with other brands in terms of capacity. My first step was to clone the old drive to the new one. The online tutorials I found are supposed to use the link to clone the software that came with the drive to make it work for the brand you bought. The link here was on the packaging and was written in small letters that required a magnifying glass to read. When I went to the website and tried to download the…
