No problem - works first time

According to other reviews, this product was compatible with Standard Porteges R-830 4GB RAM (Hynix). just installed and booted laptop and set it up, ram showed up to 8gb now. The delivery was fast from Dataram. One star down as there is no mention of "Samsung" branding on the box/box other than the sticker on the Ram itself (as pictured) and the standard Ram packaging. I expected a Samsung product to come with a Samsung box etc. If this is the norm for a brand name Ram shipment please let me…

Why have I waited so long?

I had a Dell desktop computer that worked great for years but eventually failed. It was around this time that my daughter found out about an affordable Samsung laptop in an open box and brought it home to me. The laptop is very usable, but over time it started to work very slowly. Many times I have resorted to restarting my computer to start fresh when the laptop freezes. I'm pretty good with computers and have opened up Desktops to do things like add an extra hard drive. But I'm not very…

Worked straight away: Computer and accessories

I bought this for an old ASUS Eee PC 1025C and was able to upgrade to 4GB of RAM on the first try. If anyone tries to do this. Please note that this might not be such a good idea if you intend to keep Windows as your operating system as Intel has not updated the GMA 3600 drivers for 64-bit versions and there is no good solution to this problem. Therefore, even if you upgrade to 4 GB of RAM in 10 or 7 in the 32-bit version, only 2.99 GB of RAM will be recognized. flash accordingly. I did this…

Installs and works on Lenovo Thinkpad X120e

This memory is compatible and works on Lenovo X120e. After seeing many laptops this would work on, including other Lenovos (though newer than mine), I decided to give it a try. I bought 2x4GB flash drives, and at first the laptop did not start, and the screen did not even turn on, although it made 5 very characteristic beeps. Opened it up, switched the flash drives between the two banks, made sure each of them was fully plugged in, and VIOLA booted with no issues, and Win 7 Pro saw all 8GB…

iMac desktop is faster

I edit a lot of photos, so I needed more storage than the 4GB that my 21.5-inch mid-2010 iMac had. I easily installed two of these 4GB memory cards on my iMac using the detailed instructions. (Click the apple icon in the upper-left corner, click About This Mac, click More Info to see the size and year of your computer, and the amount of memory installed. Then click the " icon Memory" to see if you have room to add more memory. In that box, click "Memory Upgrade Instructions", then click the…

Works great for SONY VAIO S series laptops

Adding to my SONY VAIO SVS13A12FXS. This laptop has only one memory slot. There is 4G on the board that cannot be removed. This memory has exactly the same characteristics as the on-board memory. I won't trust the compatibility list on the Crucial website, especially if you already have memory soldered to the board. According to the Crucial website, DDR3-1600 will work with DDR3-1333. I think it's better to use the same memory if possible.

  • Easy to use
