The old adage "you get what you pay for" really applies here. I've tried other, cheaper devices, and all of them have failed miserably at my office. Wow, after being confused with JBL's "Horizon", I was really fed up with another complicated UI. This Sangean doesn't have the sound quality of JBL, but it won't be annoying either. and it has enough sound to be used as a clock radio. It also has a remote control so you can place it anywhere.
