It was my favorite radio before it died

It lasted about 2 1/2 years with light use. It was the radio from my garage. If it is now connected to the network, it will show "E" and turn off. Very disappointed. I have a 1970's AM/FM radio that I still use and it works great. This Sangean had great sound, great volume, and I love the digital presets that allow me to quickly switch between my news station and my music station. If a digital car radio can last 10 years without failure, I don't see why the fixed radio in my workshop can't work

Pros
  • Connection technique: RF
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Stops working after 2 days. Worked about 4 hours until he died.

The radio has arrived, read the instructions. I put 4 batteries in, flipped the switch to charge and plugged in. The batteries were being charged and the LED would light up when charged. We ran the radio on electricity at home for two days and the battery LED started flashing even though we weren't using the batteries. At this point the radio stopped working. There is no volume in any of the areas. I took out the batteries, replaced them with new batteries, only used household electricity, no…

Pros
  • Power source: Wired electric
Cons
  • Good but not great

You pay for a sturdy suitcase and additional admission.

The radio is very weak and the antenna is almost unusable. There is no tone control. There is no headphone jack. The radio tuner sound will be distorted if no other antenna is used, which is difficult as no antenna with the same fitting can be found. There's no connector for an external antenna for AM, and the instructions say to turn the radio in different directions for good reception, which is an excuse. The AUX input jack is good and the sound from my MP3 player is great. Radio=tuner is…

Useful, rugged radio

This rugged little radio is perfect for the garage or workshop. The radio is also rain, dust and shock resistant, making it perfect for taking with you to your garden, to work or even to the beach. The sound is pretty decent from a single 5-1/4" speaker. The FM stations sound great, but unfortunately a few AM stations aren't as good - maybe it's just my location. Bluetooth is easy to set up and to use and works like a charm. Nice and useful features include a carry handle on the top, a border…

Great little boom box!

The thing is solid and sounds great for my purposes. I often take this boombox outside when working on outdoor projects and yard work in my backyard or even indoors in my basement store. Enough volume for my purposes to work in close proximity to the radio itself, sometimes as far as 20 feet, and it doesn't drain my batteries of life anytime soon. Sometimes I leave it on in the morning and all day, sometimes until sunset and the batteries still keep me going. Not only do I use it at home, but…

Pros
  • 5 AM and 5 FM memory slots
Cons
  • Fade Out
