💡 In-Wall Power Distribution Unit: Sanus SA809-B1 Large Box in Black for Efficient and Concealed Power Management Review

Drywall cutout template at least 1/2 inch smaller than box size. The 16-inch OC lugs are also wider than expected and very narrow.

Box is ok, all parts were included (pattern is an inch different than someone else mentioned). However, I bought it to hide the Frame TV One Connect box and it doesn't fit. Not sure if others in the reviews have a smaller One Connect box or if my Sanus box is unusually small. My One Connect is 15.25 inches and for those who think the box fits up to 14 inches.

This saved our lives because we installed Frame TV which requires a stupid junction box. Our TV sits above the fireplace on the outside wall and we don't need a junction box on the mantel. Thanks to this, we were able to fit it perfectly into the box. The only complaint about the box is that the jig has been pushed back a full inch, but it still fits easily in the 16-inch OC lugs.

I lead a custom integration team and we have always preferred Sanus flat panel mounts. This is by far the worst designed Sanus product we have ever used. The curved shutter design is absolutely the worst we've ever installed and is inferior to any other built-in flat panel box we've used. This product was apparently never properly tested prior to release. The attached template is not even correct. We threw in the trash the last few products we had and are using another company's product.

As many have said, Sanus makes great TV mounts and you would think that purchasing this flush mount box would be a no-brainer and you can expect the quality of their mounts. NOT CORRECT! I knew the dimensions of the box before ordering so it wasn't a surprise but Sanus is very nervous to call it one BIG box given the size of the components people often have to hide behind the TV. Other reviews are correct: the supplied cut-out template is simply wrong; it does not allow ribs connecting the sides of the box to the surface flange, or wings that must be rotated to attach the box to the drywall.
