End caps are made of flimsy plastic and can easily break.

I used the grips on the passenger handlebars of my tandem bike. The handles and rings are very good but the end caps are not of the same quality. When I placed them on the end of the handlebars, I used my palm to drive them all the way in and one end cap broke off.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Only available in white

Definitely not for serious mountain bikers!

They are great for regular cyclists. I installed them before a recent trip to Colorado and hated them. On long stretches of descent, my thumbs were pressing against the brake levers/switches. I tried several settings but nothing helped. Finally, take your hands off the "palm rest" while pressing against the grate. I had blisters on the backs of both thumbs. The handles don't have enough grip. A little too plastic feeling. I'm glad I can return them.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Almost a good product but they broke before I could use them.

Well I would write a really good review but the damn things broke while I was wearing them. The heads of the hex screws that tighten the clamps are stripped. I use bolts and screws all day for a living, this is not user error. I've been able to install them on my bike and they work, it's just going to be difficult to take them off with terrible quality hardware. The end caps are also quite flimsy. If the screws and end caps were of better quality, it would be at least four stars.

Pros
  • Makes you happy
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Good strong grips

Very easy to install as each grip has two locks to keep it in place and not on a "perfect" like other grips (including the ones I've replaced) " Fit is dependent. I've had them installed for a few months now and I've already had some really good erasers with these grips and they've held up great. I didn't give 5 stars because I feel they could be a bit more comfortable and a bit awkward to clean (and difficult to maintain). Also the color is more like hunter green than I was hoping for but it…

Very convenient for comfort

I am in the process of converting my bike to an e-bike. On the one hand, I had to shorten the crank because the controls took up a lot of space on the handlebars. I have used these grips in the hope that they are stiff enough and will hold up well to expand into a full grip. IT got everything right and they are very comfortable. Although 30% of the grip extends beyond the bar I can't tell because the inner liner is stiff enough to give me a full bar feel: mission accomplished as I wanted it…

Well done, badly designed.

Bought to try to improve/improve the comfort of my 20 year old MTB. They are surprisingly well made and represent good value for money. but two problems: the rubber just isn't thick enough. They fit small hands, maybe a young person, but don't offer cushioning, which is their intended purpose after all. Second, they are both the same. This simplifies the production of a single item sold in pairs. However, the hand requires a slight bend in this "wing" to conform to the palm. This involves two…

  • Great for me
Cons
  • Hard to say

Decent cranks for the price

The cranks are actually 1/2 inch shorter than the cranks that were originally on my bike. The screws seem to hold up well. I will be using them on my hybrid MTB so don't be too picky. If you are serious about MTB riding, you might not want to buy the cheapest options. The plastic end caps (4 included) are too big to easily fit in the bar ends. I'll try again, maybe a little water will help them slide? I may cut off the rings on the end caps to make them easier to insert as well. At least…

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Easily repairable

A much more comfortable replacement for the standard grips

These are fairly comfortable ergonomic grips. They feel MUCH better than the standard round knobs that the bike had - I've had a few issues with numbness on long rides. I like that they have snap rings on both ends. I bought the ones with the aluminum end caps, although I only used one because I have the mirror on the left end. They take up more space on the handlebars than the old grips. I had to move the brake/switch mounts in about an inch to accommodate them and make the bar extensions…
